Hi everyone. Our fridge has suddenly stopped keeping things cold, and we’re panicking with all the groceries inside. The light works and the motor hums, but the temperature isn’t dropping. Anyone know if this is a quick fix or should we just call someone?

That could be a blocked vent, failing thermostat, or even the compressor starting to go. If the motor is running but there’s no cool air, don’t wait too long — food can spoil quickly. I’d suggest reaching out to Major Appliance Repair https://majorappliancerepair.info/ for a fast in-home appliance repair service. They’re local to the Greater Seattle area and can usually diagnose issues on the spot. What I like about them is that they come prepared with the tools and parts, and if you go ahead with the repair, the initial service fee goes toward the total cost. That kind of setup saves time and money. Also, they provide a solid warranty on their work, which helps with peace of mind when you're dealing with essential appliances like fridges.
