French Toast

    Just wondering if I should use the whole egg or just the yolks to make french toast...how do you make it? TIA

    I made french toast with just yolk, milk, and cinnamon (with multigrain bread). I just made pancakes for the first time today and I made them with just yolk, too. I wasn't sure how they would turn out, but they loved them! I made little silver dollar banana pancakes and they devoured the whole plate of them! I'm not sure if it matters since they've had bread and I'm sure there are whites in it, but I figured I wouldn't take a chance. HTH!

    I always used the whole egg.

    Whole egg here too... I have given them things made with whole eggs but if there is an egg cooked they only get yolks, like boiled eggs or scrambled eggs. Just the yolk.

    I too have given them things made with whole eggs. When we would give them just eggs, we used yolk only.

    I haven't given the girls eggs yet, but I was wondering why only the yolk? I was thinking of trying eggs, but wasn't sure if I should or not.

    Dr said the whites cause allergies.

    I tried making french toast with the whole egg today and everything was fine. So when can't you give it...just if it's hard boiled or something?

    I dont make French toast but as far as eggs go, we´re giving just the yolks at the moment. I think omelette will be their first real taste of egg!
