I want to be able to store my baby food in the freezer after I make it and I do not want to use plastic. Does anyone know of any alternatives? The best I could come up with was the cocktail cups that are made out of stainless steel from a resturaunt supply store, but it would be great if I could find something with a lid. I would like to be able to store the stuff in either stainless steel or glass. Any ideas?

I used Ziploc plastic containers and I know they make glass ones (maybe by Corning? or another maker). I saw some at Walmart. They will come in all sizes. I used 4oz (I think) and just fed both boys out of one.

ETA: These by Pyrex would be perfect! http://www.amazon.com/Pyrex-Storage-18-Pie...3987&sr=8-2

I use BPA free cube trays that I got from BRU. They also sell them online.

I've seen stainless steel ice cube trays here in Canada - do you have a kitchen supply store?

Okay, I feel so proud of my discovery. I was at Sears today and noticed that the silicone muffin trays were a lot like the silicone trays specifically marketed for freezing babyfood. They are freezer safe and half the cost! I've seen the silicone trays for babyfood for $20. I bought the muffin tray for under $10 and I can fill the muffin "holes" as much or little as I like, and they are the perfect size for the portions my little guys eat. I found them in a few different sizes and shapes. How fun!

While I'm not fond of plastic, I am accepting of silicone for these things. I don't know, maybe in a few years they'll say silicone is bad, too, but for now everything I've read says it's safe.

I just wanted to share. :)

I found that its kinda difficult to pop the frozen cubes of puree food out of the tray, is there any 'flexible' or 'rubbery' tray which I can literally push the ice cubes out of the tray so i dun have to break a nail while doing that?

What kind of tray are you using? Silicone should make it easy to pop the food right out. I'm using a silicone muffin tray:

The one I bought from Sears said right on the package: "oven safe, dishwasher safe, freezer safe." They make ice-cube trays of the same stuff, same brand, etc, but for twice the price. But then, when I searched for a link to give you for the muffin trays, most places had them for $20, too, same price as the ice-cube trays. So, I guess I found a good deal at Sears. :)
