I have been lurking around the internet for the past few weeks for recipes for anything that I can prepare and even cook before hand and place in the freezer for when the babies are here. Alot of people are offering to bring food when they come to see the babies, but sometimes all you end up with is a storebought lasagna over and over again! I have already prepared a couple of casseroles, but is there anything else that anyone can lend a recipe for? DH doesn't do soup or stew .. so that goes right out the window, but feel free to post any recipes you want and hopefully other moms to be ( or just moms in genereal!) will benefit from them :)

This is an awesome post! I pre-make chicken parm (bread it throw sauce/cheese on top) then freeze it uncooked. It comes out awesome by cooking at 350 for probably an hour covered (frozen) then 25 minutes uncovered. I also freeze shepards pie and chicken/dumplings. Recipes can be found on the internet for all of these. No special prep.

There is a fabulous thread in the cooking forum with a ton of easy freezer meals. http://www.twinstuff.com/forum/index.php?s...ic=809&st=0 I'm planning on stocking my freezer with them next month.

This is wonderful! I only wish I knew about these a few weeks ago. I just bought a bunch of boxed meals for my hubby to prepare next week after my c/s. I'm thinking I can still use these before I go back to work though! :D What a great post!

I wish I'd known about this place in my town called Supper Thyme. You go in and they have all the ingredients prepared for you and you put together up to 12 dinners that are then put in your freezer and you just thaw and bake. I just did it for the 1st time and the food is awesome and easy. Just wish I'd known about it sooner. You could check out places like that. I know we had a couple people from our families that brought food, which was so nice. I did find that I couldn't eat anything with spaghetti sauce. My son had reflux and couldn't tolerate the acidity of the tomato sauce in things like spaghetti, lasagna, etc. (which most people brought) while I was breastfeeding. Same thing with cranberry juice.

ooooh if only we had a place like that in our town. hmmm.. entrepreneurial thoughts have entered my head!! Unfortunately we have nothing like that. It sounds like such a good idea though!!
