I went to the bathroom just a moment ago and wiped (too much info...sorry) and there was brownish color there....no blood, its on my underwear also. I tried to call my OB's office and they closed for the day at 4:00. DH is on his way home from work, should I be safe and get it checked?

does the dr. office not have an 'on-call' dr. or ansewering service???
If not, I would maybe call an urgent care clinic just to be safe :)
    please keep us posted!

They say that brown blood is "old blood". Are you having any cramping? Are you bleeding enough for a pad? I would try the doc's emergency line and then follow up with a visit to the hospital if you don't hear from them. It will put your mind at ease to at least talk to someone.

I agree with Maureen. It's old blood. I'd take it easy, perhaps put a call into the doctor on call and see what s/he has to say. IF it continues, go in tomorrow. (esp. if there is no cramping) :hug99:

I'm not having cramping, but did put a call into the after-hour's service and the nurse on-call said its probably old blood. But DH and I are headed out to make sure. I will update when I get a chance. Thanks for the advice.

I am home from the hospital.

They said it was old blood and to keep an eye on it incase it turns into bright red blood. The doctor there was great with answering the ?'s we had, she said its more alarming when its bright red blood and not as much with brown.

The babies look great on the monitor heart rates were A-162 (girl) B-158 (boy)....and we got an u/s tonight too and got to see them again. My DH wanted to make sure the boy parts were still there on the one baby and we could see them better this and the 3 lines on the girl.

I am glad I went to make sure. I was told to follow-up with my OB in the next few days, so I will call in the morning to see what they say. But I am so relieved that everything is OK. ;)

;) Liz--- I am too to be honest with you. We can be done with this one pregnancy.... ;) But he asked after it was confirmed everything was ok if they go do a scan and the nurse was like oh we were going to anyways and John goes "I wanna make sure I still have a little boy in there!" I wanted to smack him, but I guess its typical for a guy expecting their first child/ren.

So glad that all is well. It does make you feel better to talk to the doc and be reassured that everything is okay. Take it easy and get some rest now.
