Fraternal twins - act the same

I can understand identical twins doing things around the same time, in the same way etc, but I have found my babies also do things within days of each other - for instance my ds rolled first at around 4 months and within a day our dd did it as well. Now ds is up on all 4s rocking back and forth and within a day dd was doing the exact same thing. I was really expecting huge differences in their milestones, but so far they are hitting them around the same time - anyone else experience this?

Mine are doing things around the same time. Sofia started rolling back to tummy, a week later Maya was too! They even like to sleep in the same position now :)

Nope, my frats are almost night & day. Aiden has done all the gross motor things first (thus far...walking is to be determined) & Conner has done all the fine motor/social skills first. Aiden also seems to take 'time' to learn how to do skills, whereas Conner just DOES them when he decides he's going to!

Mine were and are very similar as they got older. The rollling there was some gap of a couple of months, but the crawling, walking, and cruising was all very close together.

Fraternal twins are still siblings! And they are around each other all the time, the way it works with my girls is once one baby does something new the other one sees sister doing it so then she copies.

I was goign to say the same thing. I was totally convinced that it would take Morgan longer to walk...nope, 2 days after Reagan she was chasing after her! Same with getting teeth...they always got teeth in the same day or shortly after each other. They have hit all of their milestones relatively within no more than a week of each other!

For us, some things happen right at the same time, and others are months apart. I think it's just to keep me guessing what they are up to. :D

I usually find mine are within a couple days of each other. Anna rolled first, and Jack did it a few days later.

[SIZE=10pt]For most things they were within a week or so of each other. Teething they were within a day of each other ~ they each got different teeth at different times though. DD got her bottom teeth first, while DS got his top.

I agree with pp's ~ I think that once one is doing something the other sees it and wants to as well.

We haven't hit too many milestones yet, but thus far they are within a few days of each other. It's interesting though that one of them works so hard and is on the cusp of doing something for soooo long and is so frustrated that he can't quite get it like rolling back to front, and then finally gets it. The other never practices, but then just up and does it a few days later like "what's the big deal?" It will be interesting to see if that keeps up. One of my guys just figured out crawling earlier this week although he still isn't very proficent at it, but he has been trying for almost a month (rocking, face planting, going backwards). The other hasn't shown any interest in locomotion at all up until this point. Next week though we will probably put him in the floor and he will just crawl like he has been doing it for weeks.

This might sound really funny but its true. My boys havent hit too many milestones yet but when they eat especially at night if one only eat 5oz instead of 7oz its the same for the other one. The worst is when one poops by the time Im finished with the first baby the second one has pooped, its been the same since I brought them home. One mother of twins told me its the same when they get sick! not looking forward to that!! :itwins_boys:

Mine have met most milestones within days of each other. They are also about the same size and always have been. The only difference was getting teeth. A got her first tooth at 8 months, but M didn't get her first tooth until 11 1/2 months. However after a couple months she caught up and right now they both have 6 teeth each.

I always find it interesting to see my son and daughter sleeping in just about the exact same position and in the same area in their cribs. But, my son is the talker and my daughter, the walker. Go figure!
