The docs said all along that my girls were identical and even were worried at one point about ttts thankful (was not the case). But ever since they were born I have thought they looked very different. Some pictures they look the same and others very different its got me so confused I don't know what to tell people when they ask. So I thought I would ask the board before spending the money on a test.

They have the same blood type and eye color (so far) they had a fused placenta shared a corion (sp) separate amnions and the T marker NOT the twin peak Y their membrane was also very thin. So let me know what you think............

Heres the pics let me know if the links don't work I am terrible with computers!

the pictures are kinda hard to tell when they are seperate, however, your u/s picture looks nearly exactly how mine did. Both babies look like in the same larger sack. Mine were mono/di. If im not mistaken if they have the same blood type

Mine have days that they look more diffferent. Aurora has a bigger, rounder face then her sister. I think with identicals it is eaiser to tell them apart then people think.. There can be difference between them that you pick up..one of mine has a "stork bite" on her neck and her sister doesn't

I think yours are identical just by the u/s pic

They are still very young. Mine looked quite different when they were first born. It wasn't till around 7 months that the started looking really alike (well to other people anyway:p).
    I would say Identical

I didn't even need to see the pics of the babies. The ultrasound pic is IT. They are in the same sac "black hole" so they ARE identical.

I LOVE the tan jumpers and bows. OMG. THAT exactly how I'd dress mine IF I had gals!

Congrats and YES they are identical! Di Di twins have their own 'black hole'!!

I stink at this but I am going to say ID. What I am confident in though is that your girls are cute!

ID. I agree with pp that the older they get the more they will look alike. Mine sometimes look different, but it is the small weight difference.

This was exactly how my early US looked--no doubt--identical!

I'm not sure, but I'll tell you the $99 I spent for a DNA test was the best $ ever spent! I spent 16 months debating and constantly analyzing their features. Twins are extremely hereditary in my family (EVERY woman on my moms side has either had or miscarried twins) so I thought they MUST be frat since that is supposedly hereditary and not ID. Turns out my boys are ID. They look so much more alike now (at 21 months) than they have at any other stage. This is the first time since they have been born that I second guess who they are a few times a day. I can still look back at their baby pictures and tell who is who, but it's getting much tougher. I say, go for test and save yourself the months of debating it!

I'd say ID too. The U/S says it all, plus I think they look alike. Having those little differences is surely what helps us twin/multiple mothers tell our babies apart! :bubble: :good:
    By the way....they are adorable.

Beautiful little girls! I think they look identical. Your ultrasound at 8 weeks definitely looks identical (same sac) but I think they also look very similar. I think any weight differences are going to make them look slightly different. I have boy/girl so I don't have any personal experience with identicals but that's just what I think. I'd say they look enough alike to be identical with that u/s pic. :)
