FRACTURED FOOT, PINKEYE, DOUBLE EAR INFECTION ...

This poor baby I took him to the ortho today. They x-rayed his other foot too since it was bruised (poor little man, they had to put sandbags on his arms and tape his legs down to get it, he just baaaaawled) but nothing on that one, thank God. He has 2 green stick fractures, one on the metatarsal above his big toe and another by his ankle, so they put a leg cast on him, all the way up to his thigh. We were there almost 3 hours, then I took him to his doctor because he was SO stuffy and his eye was red and gunking up all over the place, he just looked miserable ... so he has a double ear infection and pinkeye (which Chase also has.) The meds he was given for his ear infection 2 weeks ago didn't take so now he has stronger stuff.
He was such a trooper today, my brave little guy! I hope their night tonight is better than last night, already it is. They are both soooo stuffy, we can give them Benadryl at night and Triaminic strips during the day for thier congestion. Little babies just should not be sick and shouldn't wear casts, it is so sad looking! He has to wear it for 4 weeks. What sucks is he was THIS close to crawling, I hope this doesn't push his development back. Oh, and when my dad told my mom, she just bawled ... she is really depressed about this. She even asked if I;m still going to bring the boys over and keeps apologizing.
And big props to my honey for last night, he stayed up with me and the boys, took Con for drives and walks to try to get him to sleep, ran to Walgreens at 2AM ... he was great. And thanks to all of you for your kind words! :hug99:

Bless his little heart!!!! Pinkeye and double ear infection too!!!........that's just not fair!! I hope he gets over all of this very quickly and is not in too much pain.
