Just wanted to get others opinions on whether or not our 4 months old boys appear to be identical or fraternal. We haven't sent away for any DNA testing but were told from the perinatologist and regular OB that they were ID. In addition, they sent the placenta away to the lab and it was confirmed they were ID but I'm still not sure. Do I think they look alike? Certainly but one's head is larger which in turn makes his features slightly different.......

Just this last 1-2 months has things gotten a bit easier....those first couple were unbelievable difficult but you do survive. They are now rolling, smiling, laughing, and developing their little personalities with each passing day......so so worth it.

I also added a link to a youtube video of the twins......looking forward to others thoughts.

    Hope you enjoy

Very handsome little men you have there!!! And very ID! I wouldn't waste your money if you have been told by the Dr. I assume they only found one placenta, which makes them ID. Our boys had seperate placentas so we tested them and they are too ID.

They look identical! But who knows? Supposedly Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are fraternal.
    Very, very cute babies, though!

Definitely ID. I'm with some of the other PPs, don't waste your money on a test. If the placental pathology came back as ID, then your babies ARE identical. It's not a matter of opinion - the person looking at the placenta can tell. If there was only one placenta (not two fused - and they can tell by looking at it), the babies must be ID.

Okay..we can put our doubts to rest. It was confirmed all the way that it was only one placenta but.....just wanted others opinions.

Thanks for all the sweet replies......they are adored and welcomed with open arms, despite the hard work!! :)
