Do they have the same blood type? Do they look very similar? I think that the only real way to know with di/di may be through DNA testing if you arent able to rule it out by blood type.

I think the only way to tell for certain is by DNA test as well.

my boys were di/di with fused placentas, but there is no doubt they are frat--they don't look ANYTHING alike. Post some pics, we'll give you an opinion!

My girls were di/di, same hair/eye color, same blood type, confirmed identical after DNA testing.

My girls were di/di with a fused placenta. We were sure they were fraternal, they looked very different when they were born but they had the same blood type so we had them tested and it turns out they are identical. They now look identical but in the beginning not so much.

We are starting to see differences, but it might be just because we are getting to know them better. The biggest difference to us is the shape of their heads. Also do identicals have the same birthmarks. Both boys have a strawberry birthmark on the back of their neck near their hairline. I'll take some new pictures tomorrow and post them to see what you all think.

Mine are identical and one has a birthmark and the other doesn't. Also the face shapes are different.

Here's the newest pictures of the boys. I'm trying photobucket for the first time. Hopefully I can figure it out.
I hate the baby acne they are going through right now. I know it doesn't hurt them, but still...

Creed and Laud - The shape of their heads are the biggest difference to us.

They look id to me- esp in the first shot. My sister's girls we di/di with the same blood type and looked a lot alike. She had them tested and they're identical. If there's any doubt- have them tested! They will thank you for it! My sister and I didn't know we were id until we had a DNA test 2 years ago- it's a question they will get for the rest of their lives and not knowing with certainty is annoying! It's so nice to be able to answer with certainty now! Good luck and your boys are beautiful!!

My boys were di/di, not fused at all. Same blood type, etc.. We had them tested and they are ID.

I don't know, your boys look fraternal to me. Their mouth, jaw and eyes look very different.

My girls were di di too- and come to find out by DNA testing they were ID.
I think your boys look fraternal to me. There are some similarites- but I don't know, they look very different to me. Maybe there is just
    a big weight difference...?

My boys had a fused placenta too. We haven't had them tested yet, but they have the same blood type and still have blue eyes (DH and I don't have blue eyes). It's so hard to tell from pictures. Everyone on here thinks mine are id except for the people who have seen them in person. They look completely different to me but I can see big resemblances.

As for your two, I think they are ID. The noses and eyes are the same. We have a weight difference of a pound and a half and I think that makes a big difference.

Let us know if you wind up testing them. Only 3 more months till my boys turn one and I demand the test from my DH. :)

I would bet the farm (LOL ) that those are identicals! It is obvious when you look at one ear on one baby and then look at the ear on the other, same with nose, hair and everything else. I read on here from one of the many wise women to compare one feature at a time and I do that now..

They are identical. FYI- none of us ID Mom's think our kids look alike!!! It's a strange thing!!

Oh my you girls have made me really curious! Now I have to convince my DH to let us get the testing done sooner than later :) We are currently saving up for a 12 passenger van and he is locked into that and can't think of spending the money elsewhere.

I think they look identical.... The differences I see are similar to the differences in my boys, who are identical. And even though the placenta was examined by 2 doctors, and they have the same blood type and look VERY identical, I still hear the.... Oh you can't be sure!! So we will eventually be spending the money on it... lol... But not a priority now, my hubby is the same way as yours, only we are going to be buying a house, not a van... lol :p Men huh???? hehe...

I would bet ID as well. They are awful cute. They look so much like my girls at that age, accept much more hair!

Our girls were di/di with a fused placenta. They are definitely fraternal. Different hair color, eye color, face shape, and blood types.
