For the past few days, Morgan's pee has smelled REALLY strong. (reminds me of guy urine). Her pull-ups after nap/bedtime just reak to high heaven. It's gross. They usually get a bath every other night. Well, the other day, I had to give her one two nights ina row b/c she just smelled like pee really bad. THen, yesterday, she took off her undies to put a pull-up on for bedtime...and her underwear smelled like rotten urine (but she hadn't peed in them).

Could there be something wrong? It's just a really strong smell. On a daily basis, she probably has 2 glasses of water, a cup of milk and about 4 oz of juice. So, she's drinking plenty of fluids and nothing has changed in her diet/drink routine.

She doesn't complain about it hurting to pee or anything. It's gross!

Have you fed her asparagus recently?

    any meds??

I know anitbiotics make my girls 'stinky' when they pee. One type of vitamins also did this...we quickly switched!

A call to the Dr maybe. They may have you do a urine check too see what it is.

    Nope

NOTHING has changed...not her diet, not on meds, no vitamins (but I do need to get more...that reminds me).

As there have been no changes in diet/meds, I would get her checked for a UTI. Even though she's not complaining of pain, foul smelling urine is often a tip off that bacteria is lurking in the urine.

That was my first thought as well. Anytime I get a UTI, the strong smell is my first indicator, before I have any pain or anything.

It didn't seem as bad today. I'll see how it goes the next few days.

I'd have her checked for diabetes. It's an easy test. Call your pediatrician please :) .

My DD gets UTIs constantly, and most of the time she's not hurting. But the smell is awful!

My dd started getting uti's around 3 yrs. It always started with the smell. She still has never had any other symptom.
