Can you tell me which formula you use and why you chose it ?

We started on Neosure, got switched to Alimentum and then I put them both on Similac Advance. I think the advance is making one of the girls to gassy so I need to switch again.

They had Neosure when they were still in hopistal. Their pedi told us that they had to be on neosure till 6 months old. But the boy was so gassy so he switched to genltease. I still dont think the problem is totally solved. We havent changed thier formula. They just have 2 formula bottles/day. They eat 5 EBM bottles/day. So I wouldnt mind much

My girls started on Neosure in the NICU and were on it until they were about 5 months old. Once we got the all clear to switch them, we went with the Kirkland (costco) brand. It saved us a ton of $$ and we had absolutely no complaints. GL!

Good Start. As soon as I switched over from Enfamil E started to sleep between feedings and the grunting has stopped.

Good Start... out of the formulas I've done in my years of raising children, it's the "closest" thing to breastmilk. The other ones we tried Enfamil/Similac all gave them HUGE constipation issues. I've never had those when using this formula. I'd also suggest gas drops in the bottles to "just help"

Hi there! We started on enfamil A+ in the hospital b/c that is what they gave us. Then we tried both kiddies on Alimentum b/c we thought they had milk issues but that made them gassy and gave them frequent poops so then we went on enfamil gentlease and it just happened that's when their reflux hit full force so we got them on meds and started good start and we've been on good start ever since. We really seem to be doing well. It hasn't helped my DS's spitting but they are pretty regular on it and eat well.

ps- I don't know if you are in the states or canada but in canada they have a multiples program and with proof of birth they will send you 2 cases of free formula. I just got my shipment confirmed.

    GL.

We used a mix of Good Start and Enfamil thickened (we mixed because the Enfamil was too constipating) and by the time they were about 7-8 months old the spitting up has decreased considerably so we went to just Good Start. We find that it works great for our babes - no gas to speak of!

we started on neosure but it was hard on the boys' guts. we switched to similac sensitive but realized the only difference was the elimination of lactose. since lactose didn't seem to be their problem (reflux was) we switched to similac advanced. that worked perfectly for us for the first 6 months. at 6 months i did a ton of research and found out baby formula is very highly regulated in the US, as regulated as drugs. so generics meet the same quality standards of nutrition that the name brands do. it's like buying tylenol where the only ingredient is acetaminophen or buying target-brand acetaminophen for $2 less. so we switched to the standard target brand (up & up) infant formula, which is nutritionally identical to enfamil lipil and virtually identical to similac advanced. and the boys did beautifully on it for the next 6 months. can't beat the cost savings, i'll tell you that much.

I am 26/27 weeks preggers with twins and just wanted to share my experience with you nice ladies!! My DD was born at 29 weeks and was on Enfacare (enfamils 22 cal formula) for the 1st 6 mos...after that we went straight to Target's brand of enfamil lipil equivilant and it was wonderful!! Literally saves you half of the name brands!! No problems whatsoever. I know they even make the more sensitive formulas in generic also. I always shout it from the rooftops if anyone asks because formula is soooo expensive! And with twins every little bit helps!

Good Start here too. With my first daughter, we went through just about everything on the market when she became super colicky due to acid reflux...Good Start was one of the last we tried and ended up working the best for her. This time with the twins, we STARTED with Good Start. It is doing a good job so far (mixed with whatever expressed breast milk I can get). We are also looking at mixing it with either the Target brand or even the Costco brand too to save a bit more money. Hopefully that will work.
