We officially cold-turkied formula (from sippies) yesterday on their 1st birthday. We have always warmed it up too. I had planned to just give them cold milk straight out of the fridge but they want nothing to do with it unless it's a little bit warm. Anything I can do or should I just give them cold milk as their only option until they eventually have to adapt to it? TIA!

I moved them to milk gradually, and at the same time, started warming just the nighttime sippy for a while, now they take it cold. . .

I warmed them up a bit at the beginning and then kept making it colder and colder. :pardon: I'm not sure if mine would have taken it cold from the get go because I never tried. Maybe you can take it out of the fridge about 10-15 minutes before giving it to them so it gets room temperature and it won't be as shocking to them.

My girls were used to room temp formula so when we moved to milk, I'd put it in the microwave for just a bit to take the chill off, but didn't warm it up. For us they get wake-up and bedtime sippies that they chug. Those I make sure aren't too cold (brain freeze!), but the lunch sippy of milk is cold and out of the fridge since they drink that with their food.

We are just now getting the girls (well Hannah mostly! Picky!) to drink the milk cold. We still warm their "wake-up" milk.

This is what we started doing ... but pretty quickly we just went to cold milk. Daycare didn't warm there milk, so they got used to it pretty quickly. But yeah, for the initial switch, we just tried to take the chill off it.
