My girls will be 8 weeks old next Wednesday. Currently they are on Neosure (they were 5 weeks premature) and they eat every 3 hours anywhere from 2.5 to 4 ounces a feeding. I am curious to see what and how much other 2 month olds are eating? Neasure is SOOO expensive, I'm not sure when my pedi will let me switch their formula to a "normal" kind! BTW, they are 9.5 and 10 pounds, they have doubled their weight in almost 8 weeks- is that good?

Can you tell I am a first time mom??? :D

    TIA!

I remember when mine were 2 wks old they were eating 4 oz every 1.5 hrs [and every 2 hrs at night]. By two months I think they were eating 4.5 oz every 1.5 hr.

At first we had them on 1/2 Enfamil gentlease and 1/2 Enfamil [yellow label]. Now they're on 1/2 Enfamil AR and 1/2 Similac Sensitive - pretty much the same stuff the entire time.

I'm a first time mom also. Is NEASURE for premie babies? If so and if your babies are doing well [talk to your pedi], I'd suggest transitioning towards something else if it's becoming too costly.

Emily & Ryan turned 2 months on the 5th. They are eating 4 oz every 3 hours during the day and are on the lactose-free Similac. They usually have a 5 hour period at night from 9:00 to 2:00 or 10:00 to 3:00. They were 5lbs 12oz and 6lbs 9oz when I delivered at 36 weeks. They are 9lbs 12oz and 10lbs 2oz now. HTH!

you can mix regular formual stronger to make it 22 cal like the Neosure....ask your pedi or NICU for the amounts...

My b/g twins will be 2 months on Sunday. They are on Neosure right now and drink 3-4 oz every 3 hours. At our last pedi appt, our regular dr was on vacation so we saw the new doctor in the practice and he gave me this big speech on how the babies weren't supposed to be getting more than 2 oz at a feeding. Kaden has reflux and he wouldn't give him meds and told me that the new way of thinking is that reflux can be cured by small, frequent feedings. . . He told me that I should be feeding them 1 oz every hour! Yeah rightt. . .how I am supposed to feed them every hour! The new pedi was very young and obviously didn't have any kids, let alone TWINS! So I am doing my best not to overfeed them. I did try it his way for 2 weeks and fed them every 2 hours but it didn't help at ALL with Kaden's reflux so we went back to every 3 hours--for my own SANITY. . .(Sorry for getting off topic with my being annoyed with our last dr appt).

We have our 2 month check-up on Monday and they said as long as they were good weights that we could take them off the neosure. . . At their 1 month check-up kenna was 7 pounds even and Kaden was 6 pounds 15 oz, so I am really curious how much they weigh now. . .If I were to guess, I think they are now in the 9 pound range. . .

My boys will be two months on Tuesday. They were born at 39 weeks, and both 5 pounds 11 ounces. We do both breastmilk and formula. I originally started them out on the Enfamil with Iron but one of my twins would spit up A LOT so i switched them to Enfamil A/R Lipil and they are doing great. My guess is they are probably around 10 pounds, my smaller twin was 8 pounds 11 ounces two weeks ago. These are three and four for me and i've always used Enfamil Iron in the past, my smallest baby was 5 pounds 5 ounces, not officially a preemie, but i've never been told to use a different formula.

First of all, those are great weights for your little ones! Way to go Momma!
I believe at 2 months ours were taking 4 oz every 3 hours.
