Yesterday I bought 3 cans of formula (parent's choice brand), my babies are on soy. So this morning I started a new can and DS vomited like a geyser (and he never spits up) and DD has horrible gas. So I look at the can and it's LACTOSE FREE MILK BASED! There was a can mixed in with the soy and I didn't notice. The labels look almost identical [IMG]
I feel so horrible now, I made my babies sick [IMG] they both only got one bottle each of the milk formula but it was enough to make them unhappy. Anyone know how long they might have tummy upset for? I can't believe I did this, I'm such a putz. [IMG]

Aww, don't be too hard on yourself!! Blame it all on the sleep deprivation at that age!! [IMG]

I doubt it will affect them longer than today. Don't beat yourself up! They are 2 months old and that means that you have been living for 2 months sleep deprived!!!!! [IMG] I would have done that too!

I think they'll be fine really soon!!! [IMG] Don't worry about it too much. A lot of accidents and things happen and we have to just live and learn! [IMG]

Ugh, so they were puking all afternoon [IMG] They're both sleeping now. DS managed to keep 3 oz down before I put him down but DD's last bottle that she didn't puke up was at 4 this afternoon. Before bed she didn't even want her bottle.
So now that I WANT them to wake up to eat they probably won't [IMG] Hopefully t hings will be better in the morning and I'll be more careful to check labels in the future.

Don't be so hard on yourself, I've done that. I wasn't paying any attention and I was just grabbing the formula from the shelf and there was another kind mixed in. It happens to all of us. [IMG]

cut yourself a break, it was accidental! I would bet that today they'll be back to normal!

I understand the similarities in those cans. When buying formula, I've always had to sort thru mixed up cans because Wal-Mart never keeps the shelves fully stocked and in order to get formula I would have to dig thru the shelves of other stuff to find a stray can of what I needed. WM bites, but their formula is cheap compared to the other stuff and it works for us!

Dont feel bad. I've done it to my twins. One is on Alimentum and one Soy...We had a lot of huge spit ups and throw ups that day!

[IMG] They'll feel better today, it just gave them an upset tummy.
