Formula Allergy

My DS after almost every feeding rubs his face and forehead. Is this an allergic reaction to the formula he is on? He is currently on Enfamil AR. Should I switch to a soy formula? I am not sure what is going on!

 

Does he have any kind of rash?

 

He would probably have a rash, throwup what you just feed him, be constipated/diarehhea or blood in the stool. If he is just rubbing his face maybe he just likes to do it or just discovered he could.

 

I wouldn't worry about it unless he has other symtoms he may just be allergic to something in the air or doing it just because

 

He has a rash on his forehead. The MD said that it is excema. He is constantly scratching his forhead. Poor little guy has scratches from his fingernails all over his forehead.

 

Not sure about excema in relation to a milk allergy, I would call the Pedi. My sons were allergic to Milk and Soy and it presented itself by them throwing up (projectile), diarrehea and blood in the stool, after 4 formulas they did great on Alimentum..GL!

 

Have you tried anything on the excema? My DS has it and the ped prescribed hydrocortizone cream and it cleared it up nicely. He has breakouts from time to time and the cream clears it up in a few days. Maybe your ped can recommend something for it.
We're pretty sure in our case it's not an allergy as my DH has had excema all his life and it looks like DS just inherited it from his dad.
