How long can your kids stay awake between naps without becoming overtired? I say without being overtired because I know I can keep mine up for a long time or at least they can when it is a fussy, no nap kind of day. But then they become exhausted and well you know what I mean. I think 3 hours is good for them but we have been at that for a while, is that the norm for this age group?

We're doing about 4 hours right now (mine are 15 months). On the days they go to the morning out program, they're up for about 5 to 6 hours straight but they are exhausted when I pick them up and usually fall asleep on the way home (we only live 5 minutes from the church!!!).

Mine are anywhere from 3.5 to 5 hours..and sometimes jake skips a nap...he seems to do ok with that...i'm just glad we are still on 2 naps a day. I do think at this age, they can handle the occasional missed nap or longer day, i just try not to make a habit of it.

Mine go about 3.5 to 4 hours depending on the day and what we are doing.

At that age mine could do about 4 hours before getting overtired. Unless we were out doing something exciting, then they could go all day but be exhausted, and have a rough night.

We only nap once a day... I was fighting for them to keep two but ultimately they were sleeping better at night with one. They wake up at 7:30, 12:30 - 3 is nap time and bedtime is 8:30 - 9pm.

At that age, mine were still on 2 naps. Their longest awake time was 4.5 hours after the 2nd nap until bedtime, and sometimes that was pushing it.

Mine are awake between 3 and 4 hours between naps. Usally closer to 4 hours. Nine times out of ten, they take 2 naps a day. The morning nap is always the longest and the afternoon can be anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours. If we don't do anything exciting in the day, then their 2nd nap is one hour max. But I like keeping them away a little longer than 3 hours. Otherwise, they spend a long time "talking" to each other before they settle down for their nap.

Thankfully, I don't see us dropping that second nap anytime soon. They're much more pleasant people when they do take it.

Typically they wake up around 7:30AM and take their nap at 12:30PM but sometimes it's more like 1:00, so that's 5-5.5 hours. Then they nap till about 3 and go to bed for the night at 7PM.

Mine take a first nap about 3- 3 1/2 hrs after getting up. They are really cranky and go hang out at the bottom of the stairs to tell me they are ready to go up to their room. The funny thing is, they will usually "talk", sometimes up to an hour, before finally falling asleep for another hour. I'm always about to go get them when they finally fall asleep. I feel bad putting them down if they don't sleep, but they never cry, they're happy to rest and talk to each other.

Most days, they take another nap around 3pm. This one is usually for about an hour. They go to daycare 3 days/week and rarely get more than one nap, with all the excitement of the other kids around.

Regardless of how they nap, they always got to bed at 7-7:30 without a problem and sleep to 6:00-7:00.

mine get up 7ish, nap at 10 for 45 mins- 1 hour, then nap at 2 for 1 1/2-2 hours. A few days a week we are not home for the morning nap & they cat nap in the car. I try to get them down a little earlier for their second nap on those days but they are overtired & usually don't nap any longer & are cranky. I can't wait until they give up their morning naps because we will have so much more flexibilty to go places & do things. I would much rather have one longer nap in the afternoon but they don't seem ready yet
