Which ones do you use? What do you like/dislike about them? We are wanting to move from highchairs to the booster at the table. They still do fine in their highchairs, but space wise we would like to move from them. Just looking for suggestions. We will be using them on our dining room chairs that are fabic covered. THANKS

When you say boosters at the table, do you mean they will be eating right off the table? Or are you thinking of booster seats that have trays (just like a high chair) but sit on a regular dining room chair? We have the First Years boosters and like them a lot. We almost always use the trays -- they make too much of a mess otherwise.

Actually, Amy asked to sit right up at the table without a tray the other night, and she did surprisingly well. Sarah of course also wanted to be pushed right up to the table, but still wanted her tray. (I guess she felt insecure without it.) It also felt nice to be sitting at the table with them -- much more like a family dinner, as opposed to a mom sitting at the table with two kids in high chairs nearby. :)

Anyway, I think they would be OK with fabric covered chairs. I'd worry more about the food on the chairs (and how to clean them) than about any damage the boosters might do. They don't fit that tightly (not like car seats).

I use the cooshee hyback. The kids really like them. And I loved getting rid of the high chairs. I have wood chairs so the seats suction on them. I do not know how it would work with fabric.

We have for the eddie bauer wood booster for my 2 and a half it sits on a normal chair and you can buy cheap place mats at walmart or target (maybe let them pick it out) and jsut let them eat at the table with you!

We got something similar to this one. BRU doesn't carry the one we have (at least that I can see on line) by Safety 1st. It's made of plastic so it is easy to clean up. Because we just started using them, the trays didn't fit with them in the chair. It was way to tight on their bellies so we just have them sit right at the table with us. It's actually a lot easier without the highchair and wish I would have gotten rid of them sooner. They take up so much room and I constantly had to clean the trays which were always akward to do in the sink. It is so easy to put on and remove that last week, I took them off our chairs and brought them with us to my friends house so I could feed them there. It was perfect.

One little reminder (which unfortunately, I learned the hard way), put a towel or something to cover the chair before you put the booster seat on. My fabric chairs got ruined and I will have to reapolster (sp?) them all now

We have the First Years ones. I have actually been using them since they were babies because they recline and everything. Well, now one of the trays broke, so we just push them up to the table. They work great. I am looking to get the cooshee hybak boosters soon. I'm just wondering if they would work on a wooden bench?

I get rolls of the no slip matting and cut to fit the chairs, we have a nice dark wood that I found the brown is great on. It is at the store Target, Walmart where ever where the contact paper is. I also put this under the carseats in my van!

We used the same Fisher-Price ones that are in the link above. They worked well for us. At first we used the trays and then we kept them off and let them eat right at the table. I also liked that they were light and we were able to take them with us when we went visiting. The trays also fit right in the dishwasher.

We used the FP Healthy Care boosters for about a year (13 months old to to 26 months old). A few months ago we bought two of the Cooshie Boosters and we love them! No straps and simple to clean!
