I was just wondering if you put it back in the fridge and then mixed it with new EBM and reheated all of that or if you left it out till the next feeding and then mixed that with the new EBM after you heated it.

Could you tell me what you did with it. I am just over throwing out my hard work!

I just fed it to the other twin......LOL

I never mixed, I would just make a new bottle with the new stuff and use the old stuff first (it depended how often they ate, if I put it in the fridge or not).

From what I remember, I would thaw out the ebm from the freezer in the fridge and use it that day or the next. If it was left too long, we dumped it. I do know that I would mix it with newer ebm and even formula depending on how much we needed.

I was informed that you never reheat reheated EBM. Once you heat it you have to use it within the hour or it's no good. As far as the lenghth of time you can leave it out, not long, but if you heat it up, only an hour.

I would leave it out until I needed it and usually tried to feed that while the new stuff was warming in some hot water....

I express what I need and we just leave it at room temperature. My little girl is a pig - I can't keep up with her so I haven't been able to freeze or refidgerate any EBM yet. Plus we always give EBM or formula to her a room temperature we didn't want her getting use to it warm and then be in a situation where we can't heat up the bottle

I wouldn't mix it with the new ebm, once they have drank out of it you can use it at the next feeding, but then it has to be tossed. So if you mix it with the new ebm and they don't finish that bottle either you will have to toss it instead of saving it for the next feeding, hope that makes sense.
