I know delivery brings its own set of aches and pains, but does this hip/pelvic pain go away right after delivering or does it take some time? :)

Another question, I know that the afterpains from the uterus contracting back down were much worse with my second son. I'm thinking with twins the uterus will have a lot further to contract back down from being so overdistended, did anyone notice a big difference in this after having twins vs one baby?

I'm getting closer and thinking of a bunch of random things all at once!

For me, the hip/pelvic pain and pretty much all the aches and pains of pregnancy went away the minute they put the spinal in for my c-section. I haven't felt the pain since the girls were born. That pain was HORRIBLE too. There were times I didn't think I would make it through the pain but like I said, delivery resolved all that!

The twin pregnancy was my 3rd and the contractions afterwards were just as bad as my previous single births. They weren't worse, for me, anyway.

I do still have problems, not with my hip but my pelvic bone and up around the right side of my leg/butt..I am supposed to be making an appt. for a specialist but haven't had the time yet ...It's not constant only when I do too much in one day like usually after food shopping or if I have been really running around that day. It causes me to have a slight limp on that side, I also cannot physically run anymore because that puts it right out of wack I can moreso jog if I have to.

I felt MUCH better immediately after delivery. I actually walked to the nursery about 20 minutes after the fact to see the babies get their baths, etc. I had an epidural that didn't work, so I wasn't numb. The nurses all thought I was crazy, but I had felt so bad and hurt for so long that the aftermath of delivery didn't seem that bad. I felt so much better than I had felt before. The contractions afterward were more severe, but I was nursing both babies. I do remember that those pains while nursing seemed to be stronger, but it doesn't last that long . . . a week tops.

    Best wishes!

Do you have everything you need? My b/g twins are turning one next week, and I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff. Email me if you still need some things. Moderators--is that okay to post? I don't know the rules about trying to sell twin stuff.

I *think* we have most of what we need but I may realize there are other things I didn't think of very soon :) B/G coordinating outfits are something I'm always on the lookout for it seems. Also, just so you know - there is a shopping section on TS where you can let people know what you are selling or needing :)

My hip pain went away with delivery. Can't really answer your other question since this was my only pregnancy, but I didn't find the after contractions to be that bad.

My hip pain went away right afterwards but if it really did or if I was just to busy or too sore from the c-section to think about it anymore I don't know!

Mine was gone when I got feeling back after my epidural- it was replaced with high back pain, but I was so happy I could walk again! Sad to say but it has since returned! I think it is due to how incredibly stretched my poor tummy muscles are
Good luck! It will be over before you know it, you are getting so close B)
