What did you do about a stroller? Did you get a triple one?

My plan has been to take the boys in the stoller with Mason in the sling if need be. At Walmart and grocery stores, they can go in the cart so it's no problem.

I do want to go for walks though, and I'm not sure how to get the 3 of them around without a triple stoller.

    Any suggestions?

There will be a 20 month age differance

My three are nine months apart. I refuse to buy a triple stroller just because of the enormity of it. If they weren't so expensive I might think about it. Right now I have been lucky that I haven't needed to go alone anywhere with all three just yet. Soon I will though and I plan on just putting my youngest in the baby wrap. Our grocery store also has the carts with a car in front that buckles two kids in. So I will buckle the twins in there and then put my yougest actually in the cart while he is seated in his snugride. Our Target also has the same type of cart. Anywhere else, like the park, I will just have one of the twins hold onto the side of the double stroller. I wouldent plan on doing that for long types of outings though. Honestly though, I run most of my errands when Dh is home. It's SO much easier just running out alone then packing up all the kids.

My babies are 23 month apart. What I do is I have the Graco Duo Glider. I put DS1 in the stroller, and one of the twins. The last twin I use an infant carrier (like the baby bajorn) to carry them. If I am lucky and DH is with us then both babies go in the duo glider and then we have an umbrella stroller that DS1 will sit in. HTH! It is hard going places with all three!

Mine are two years apart. I have a Valco double jogging stroller w/the toddler seat. What a Godsend!

Im worried about that too...but my boys dont like riding so much in the stroller anymore so I think Im going to the bjorn if i use the stroller. I may not be going out that much in the beggining since the boys cannot listen quite so much...I need to hold hands and grab thier hoods now...The triples are just so HUGE!

My twins are 19 months older than my singleton. I started with Oliver in the bjorn and Natalie and Gabe in the double stroller. Then I got the toddler seat attachment for my valco, which is wonderful. It's now a triple stroller, but still as narrow as a double (which is, of course, not that narrow!). I can still carry Oliver in the bjorn... but it's getting tough... he's about 18 pounds at this point. I generally don't take all three to the grocery store or shopping. I will take them on walks and to the park and an occassional Target run (in the valco).

    Natalie,

You are the ONLY person I've heard of who also has them so close together. My three are 8 months 22 days apart -- exactly 36 weeks between c-sections. I bought a Peg Perego triple stroller at the Triplet Connection for $150.00. It is a pain to put together but for bigger trips it is great. Otherwise, I have a double jogger which my 3rd can fit in between the twins.

My twins were born 5 days after my middle son's b-day.

I went for a double stroller, but splurged on a triple jogger (I'm a running addict). But, the triple jogger would have to be taken apart to get in the car & would never fit into a store so I really only had the double for trips to the store, etc.

In hindsight, I should have bought a triple stroller to use for shopping. I see them from time to time at consignment shops which our pretty cost effective. Making my 2 year old walk everywhere was a nightmare....usually I would put him in the double stroller with one twin and carry the other twin in the backpack.

    Good luck!

We have the Graco Duo Glider & my dd1 stands on the bar on the basket- we've kind of created our own version of the Sit n Stand (except for the "sit" part"). It works great when we are in the street or need to get somewhere fast. She mostly walks, though.
    Great luck to you,

My first three singletons were all born within 2 years (not of each other, but three births in two years). I had a double stroller and the back was big enough that I just had it in full recline position that two kids could fit in the back (we have the Eddie Bauer stroller). I had the twins two years after #3, and we still use the Eddie Bauer, sometimes I still put my three year old in the front, and the twins in the back together. It gets heavy at times offroading it, but it's better than chasing around the wild man of the 3yr old I got dealt!! Lol!

They also make a "toddler stand" that you can attach to many strollers. I've seen them sold at Burlington Coat Factory. It's essentially a board that a toddler can stand on while holding on to the stroller so they don't have to walk.

I swear they jsut need to make a colapsable shopping cart. One I can pop in my trunk!

Aaron is one year six days older than the twins. We started with a tandem triple (J Mason that they don't make anymore but it's like the baby trend triple) and it was horrible! When the twins were 10mos we splurged on the Valco with toddler seat. I love it!! I have yet to meet a doorway we don't fit through. Now we are to the point that I put the regular bar across the front if we're going somewhere pretty contained. If we're going to be doing alot of walking, like Carowinds or the big mall, I put the toddler seat on so Aaron can ride when he gets tired. They are a bit pricey, but check around and see if you can find one used. It was well worth every penny we paid new!
