my pedi suggested putting 2 tsp of cereal in their bottles for every 2-4 oz. I was having a difficult time getting the right nipples for them. The stage 2 playtex were too fast, the y nipples from dr. browns were too fast so I tried making the holes bigger in the avent bottles and that ended up being inconsistent that sometimes they would gag and sometimes they wouldn't get anything out...
what do you use? How much cereal to formula do you do?

We do 1 tsp. of cereal to every 2 ozs. For the nipples, I just cut a X in the avent nipples, and it's doing the job just fine.

    G'luck!

We tried cutting our own and the Y shaped Dr. Brown's. DS screamed during the whole feeding and he's our best eater. We ended up feeding the rice cereal with a spoon. Good luck!

I use Dr. Browns level 3 (Y was too fast) and add 2 - 2 1/2 teaspoon in a 4 oz bottle (I am supposed to put 1 teaspoon per oz in, but that takes forever and the Y is still too fast).

we do 1 tsp per oz and then a couple of extras....9tsp to 6oz of formula...we use the stage 2 playtex ventaire nipples. It works great for us without having to change the nipple at all.

    Good luck!

We use 1/2 tsp. of cereal to each oz. of formula and use Evenflo Comfi Curve bottles with (BRU brand) Especially for Baby med. flow nipples. The Playtex nurser silicone fast flow works good, too. I wish there was a way to put cereal in the Podees. They are so helpful & convenient, but my DD's spit up SO much after we use them.

I put in 4 tsp. for their 5 oz. bottles. For their bedtime bottle of 6 oz. I put in 5 tsp. I use fast flow gerber nipples and have no problems.

Our ped recommended 1tbs per oz for the reflux in every bottle and it helped tremendously although we also had a problem with the nipples. The fast flow nipples didn't work for us, the girls still couldn't suck it through. I used the playtex ventair bottles and nipples and had to cut a larger x in the nipple which was a pain because like someone said you couldn't get it exact everytime so I had some nipples that worked well and some were too fast. So needless to say we wasted a few but eventually had to enough to get by with and many of times I started a feeding and had to switch the nipple. This was an ongoing battle until they were off the cereal. Bottles became so much easier and less time consuming. Sorry I wasn't much help but you're not alone.
