What did you do when it came time that you are at ball games and they need fed their solids? I am just wondering because we have the season coming up and all I can see is a big mess but I am not going to miss their games either. I always feed them in their high chairs but that isn't possible. So what have you done that you find works best?

I set mine up in the double stroller and then I feed them that way--it gets messy so I usually have a couple of washcloths in a zip loc bag and an extra bag to put the dirty wash cloths in.

i think i would try to hold off on the solids, if possible, and give bottles instead. i know it may mess with their routine but it sure would be less messy lol!!!

Me too!! When they start finger foods, like puffs, it's great, because it keeps them occupied through the whole game!! :Clapping:

With my two older girls, we are constantly on the go. We do the double stroller thing, too, and are just ready with a wipe when we need it. It's a little messy, yes, but much easier(read: less throwing up with my boys) than trying to keep them happy by stuffing them with finger foods, which make them not want to eat "real" food when we get home. If it's near a bottle time, I'll give them a fuller bottle (9 oz instead of 6) and hope to hold them off a little more.
    HTH!

My twins are boys #6 and #7....and the older five are involved in quite a few things........hubby coaches 2 different baseball teams that 3 of our boys play on (read as: we spend ALOT of time at the field.....we need to be the first ones there and the last ones to leave).
We look as though we are MOVING every game that we go to.....last year (my boys were born in Oct '05) we brought bouncy seats, car seats, stroller, exersauser, jumper, I even bought a screen room that just pops up, so that the bugs could not get to us, etc.......I didn't care if it took me an hour to pack and 30 minutes to set up once we got to the park, I knew that the babies would be happy, and have many different things to keep them happy.....I knew that happy babies meant a happy Mommy. When it was time for a solids feed, I fed them....(usually in their bouncies, or their carseats). The only problem that I had was when my 4 year old had to go potty and I was the only adult there....I had to flag down hubby on the field (to call one of our older kids over that were helping on the field) so that they could either stay with the babies, or take the 4 year old to the bathroom...You will find that many adults at the field will want to help you hold them, feed them, walk with them, etc......just accept the help that you feel comfortable with.

MY MOTTO IS: "HAVE BABIES, WILL TRAVEL"

This year, I plan on bringing our 2 superyards and hooking them together and making a GIANT play yard for them to safely play in.......I will set my chair in there also.......we have at least 20 people come up to us while we are at the field to talk to me about how well prepared I am, they comment on what a good time the babies are having, they ask if their kids can play too (What the heck......LOL)......I figure that whatever makes my day at the park easier, the better off we all are.

You will find what works best for you, the more times that you go to the field......it really gets to be fun!
