We are just about ready to buy convertable car seats. We have a Toyota Sienna and we are looking at the Britax marathons. We are planning to have more kids and my question is this. When baby #3 comes , one of the twins will have to go to the back seat of the minivan. Do the marathons fit back there? Are they too big?

    Thanks!

Sorry can't help you with the Britax, but we have a Sienna and have my DD1 in the back row in an Alpha Omega and it fits fine. Most of the baby stores around here will test fit the seat into your car before you buy it. Why don't you try that.

Im actually in the same boat. I am expecting....but I worry. If I put the baby in the first row, and the boys in the second, Im afraid they will throw things at her/him. or kick the seat...etc. So, for the few months Im going to put the baby in the back and sit with her when we travel. (I keep saying her, thats so bad!)

We have a Sienna and have the twins in the middle in the Alpha Omegas, and my 3 yo in the back in a Costco 5pt harness booster, with the 9 and 10 yo, and it fits fine back there. I would think that it would fit, but I agree, I would test it out if you can!

We have an Odyssey and our twins are in the back row in two Britax Roundabouts(with enough room in between them that I can squeeze in, if I have to). Our 5 month old is in the middle row (behind the driver) in his Graco Snugride. The other captain's chair in the middle row is folded down (I sit on it while I buckle N & G in). The first few times that I had to load them all in, I thought it was ridiculous having to climb all the way to the back, but now it's just part of the routine. There is plenty of room for our Roundabouts, so I'm guessing the Marathons will fit as well.

I have a Caravan with bucket seats for the middle row. My my youngest one came along I moved the girls in their Graco Eddie Bauer eddition car seats to the back and put the baby and my five y/o in the bucket seats. It works great.

I don't have a Sienna, but we have Britax Wizards ( a little bigger than Marathons) and a Marathon and a Town and Country minivan. I think you could fit 2 Marathons in the back row and one easily. I doubt you could fit 3 back there. You may have a problem with leg room unless you put the seat in the middle, and you may not be able to use latch to install in all positions. We've had a Marathon or Wizard in our back seat for a long time. I'm expecting number 4, and I think I can fit two back there and 2 up front, but it'll be tricky getting the kids into their seats and snapped.
