At what age could you take your twins out in the jog stroller? I have ordered a double jogger and am so anxious to get out with it. My guys are 11 weeks old and were born at 33 weeks. Do you think they might still be too young?

    Thanks.

The strollers always say 6 months. But, I think if you use blankets to keep them from bouncing all over, you'll be fine. They ride so much smoother than regular strollers (at least mine does) anyway, I always thought it seemed pretty safe. But, I don't always follow all the rules :icon_eek: , so if you are a rule follower, don't do it yet.

    Thanks!

we have a Schwinn that i got at a twins sale. it works great- nice and smooth and they like it the best of the 3 strollers (duoglider and a sidebyside umbrella)
i think we started putting them in it around 5 months or so, when they started getting better balance and control. it does have the over the shoulder harness, so that helps keep them more secure too. i think as long as you get them in there nice and secure, you should be ok. just maybe take a few breaks to run in front and peek at them!

Thanks for teh advice. Right now, I am just planning to walk with them and only on the pavement, so hopefully they won't bounce too much. I bought the brand Baby Jogger double stroller with 16" wheels. It's great for the road but can be taken on the beach, trails, etc.

oh! i think if you are wlking you wil probably be ok. does it recline at all? they may be more comfortable more reclined, as well as more stable. you have to get out and enjoy the weather while you still can!!! i am NOT looking forward to winter...! ugh!!!

    Hey Randi,

I've got a BOB double jogger and I'm dying to use it, but it will be awhile. One of my babies just came home from the NICU today and the other may come home next week. That being said, I was told by the NICU staff that the babies should really be flat or less than 45 degrees until they can demonstrate some head/neck control. My suggestion would be to ask your pediatrician and use your own judgement as well and if it reclines flat then go for it.

Hope the boys are doing well!

We had them in at 2 months. I don't actually jog, just walk!
My seats recline back and I padded them with receiving blankets.

I have a BOB Revolution dualie (that i LOVE) and have been using it for walks since they were a month old. The straps adjust quite nicely to secure them in there.

Mine reclines quite flat and I just started using it at 2 months. I orderd something from boppy to put into them that helps fill in the loose space and secure them - Kiddpotamus & Co. Snuzzler complete head and body support. I am sure the spelling is wrong but google it. It really works well and I found it nice to use the jogging stroller for walks - we are in FLA and it is too hot here to use those HOT infant carriers in the duoglider. My twins are hot in those infant carriers even when we are in the air conditioning.

    I hope this helps.

I found those. Thanks so much. They look like they might work. I am in Florida as well and it can be oppressive it's so hot. I'm thinking early AM will probably be the best time to take them out.

If you can recline the seats and bundle them in a little, you can probably do it now or soon. You might wait till they have a little head and trunk control. If you are just walking with them, might be good!
