Normally I bathe the kiddos every other night, but we missed last night because of company over (which messed up thier whole nighttime schedule, grrr). So today I look and there is dirt and stuff in their "rolls!" Poor dirty kiddos have a neglectful mommy!

So do you guys wipe their rolls with diaper wipes in between baths or do you need to bathe chunky babies every day?

Oh, I wiped Con's underarm with a wipe and he laughed for the first time! It was great!!!!!!! :D

We bathe every other night as well, but we use wipes or just a wet wash cloth to clean up between baths! It seems I am finding a new roll on Emily every day, she is such a chunk! I just LOVE rollie pollie babies!!!

I wipe their rolls with a wipe at every diaper change (especially under the neck, I've found cheerios in there!) Apply diaper cream if the creases get red, and bathe as often as you think you should. (I bathe every other day).

We bathe everyday, they are a mess by the time dinner is over! In between, just a wipe to clean them up a bit!

We do every other day, too. Every diaper change, I try to do a quick wipe down. Right before jammies and bed on the off day, I make sure to wipe them down good. You never know what you'll find under those chins.

I had to laugh at "roll care." :D

We did baths only twice a week (it's so dry here, it's hard on their skin to bathe more often). In between, I would just make sure to wipe Sarah (my chunky one) very well at diaper changes and sort of pull the rolls apart and blow on them to dry them out. We did have a brief problem with the skin under her chin getting chafed because it never got any air, so we just had to be careful to wash & dry after each feeding. Fortunately that got better at around 6 months when she was sitting up most of the time.

We also bathe every other night. On the nights that we don't bathe we wet wipe wash them. In all the obvious areas but especially the hands (since they are now crawling and teething, thus drooling all over their hands all day) and their feet because we usually have them in socks everyday (because our floors are still cold with this never ending winter weather) and they get pretty stinky!!

I am so glad to hear I am not the only person who misses baths. I think my sister is mortified that I don't bathe them every day, but when she visits she sure is welcome to do it. I WANT to bathe them every day (living in Houston makes you SO sweaty and gross)...but that is not our reality. My mother (who passed away years ago) would really be sad with me. Two things she believed in were putting socks on babies at all times and bathing them every night. I'm a miserable failure on both counts ;)

I wish we could bathe them every night since they sleep so well on 'bath nights', but it's flippin' cold here! We have the heat cranked up, but they shiver and turn blue in the couple minutes that they're getting un/dressed.

We used to find all kinds of lint in DD1's chub - never figured out where it all came from!
