The boys will be turning one really soon and I don't have a clue what to get them for their first birthday. I was wondering about one of those Radio Flyer wagons but is this too soon? Family is also asking me what they should get them and I just don't know what to say. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

nothing, I gave them the gift of life! LOL j/k. Probably not much, I already know our families will get them toys and such. We'll be providing the party, cake and food.

My boys were given the radio flyer wagon as a gift for their bday last July but were not ready to use it until the spring when they were about 20 months. It was nice to have though because on the first nice day, we already had it and outside we went!

My boys favorite 1st bday gifts were:
    Ride on truck

    Stacking Blocks

    Ball Hopper

    Busy Zoo

I'm struggling with this too. I have a 2 year old son so we certainly don't need toys, but not sure what else to tell people to get them. Clothes for winter, but how many clothes can they get.

I like the radio flyer idea and also would like them to get some outdoor toys to play with since we have a lot of inside stuff.

As for what DH and I are getting them, we are getting them their first dolly but since you have boys I guess that won't help! For my DS's 1st birthday we got him a Vermont Teddy bear. I wanted to get each of my kids something they could keep and say "I got this for my first birthday". I am a sap, lol.

We bought the girls a trampoline (the small/medium one from Toys R Us) BUT are currently using it as a ball pit. So I also bought them 300 balls. THEY LOVE IT! They can stay in there for a good 30 minutes without a problem. As they get older, they'll be able to use the trampoline for it's intended use.

we did a ball pit too, and they just looooove it. my parents got them ride-ons similar to the sesame street one: one is princess and the other is a mickey mouse plane with propeller (DH is into planes). inflatable jumpers are cool too--they got one as a gift, and they bounce on their bottoms, they love it! other suggestions i have seen are the laugh n learn playhouse...

[SIZE=10pt]We also got them a ball pit ~ again my two LOVE it!!

We already had the Laugh & Learn House ~ but it is a great toy. The Boune & Spin Zebra is fun too. Family and friends got them lots of books, learning toys (Leap Frog stuff) clothes, baseball mits, balls, gloves and very LOUD musical instruments <_<

I hadn't thought about it yet! A ball pit sounds really neat but how big is it?

I've got a wooden walker for them and they love it http://www.iqtoys.co.nz/site/page=item/item=1838 it has blocks so they are busy moving them around. They love to use it as a walker and I can even put a baby in it so the other one pushes her sister! So cute!!!!

I'm also making a photobook of their first year but have to wait until after the birthday party to finish it!

I have to disagree with the above statement. Both dh & I come from families of readers. Dh's brother is mgr of a B&N store. I have books from my grandmother (mom, uncles, etc...). I have books from my childhood. I have books from my 14 y/o brother. I have books from ds1. In our current house, I most certainly do have too many books.
To answer the op's question...nothing big. We don't do presents until they're old enough to remember. Our 5 y/o has different ideas however so we'll see what we can talk him down to.

I wasn't planning on giving gifts, rather throwing the birthday party and all. Now we are contemplating doing the DNA test for their b-day to find out if they are frat/id. We shall see....

I think I want to get them each their own little chair like these from Pottery Barn http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/an...key=cplasof%7Ck

THis is what we got the boys. I've had them for about 3 months now and I can't wait to give them to them.
