i SO wanted to be able to answer in the other thread of "no stretch marks", but it's just not gonna happen :cray:

so instead i thought i'd start this thread as a support group thread for those of us who got them. lol

here's my story: so in the beginning my ma said she only got a few stretch marks with each kid. so i said, "whew! cool!" and since like week 17 i have put on 4 DIFFERENT products throughout the day: cocoa butter lotion, cocoa butter paste, coca butter cream, and baby oil with vitamin E. (and Eucerin for the itching) all. day. long. well, first they showed up on my sides. then all of a sudden under my belly button. now they're trying to creep up around my belly button, and i'm just POURING the baby oil on my belly! i used to say, "i'm not going down without a fight!" now i'm saying, "i'm losing the battle..."

alright, who else fought it, and lost?

At 29 weeks, I now have about 4 or 5 underneath my belly button. So...I'm assuming there will be many more over the next couple of months!

Oh goodness, yes I do! I'm drinking lots of water, and my skin feels soft and not dry at all, but right now they're covering my belly. Uggh! It's my first pregnancy and my belly feels stretched to the limit (though I know there's going to be more stretching going on before the end!).

I'm glad to hear of others who have them as well.

I haven't gotten any NEW ones but my last two pregnancies totally ruined my belly.

I plan on having a tummy tuck once I get back to my pre- pre-pre pregnancy weight and I'm completely done breasfeeding. That should take care of about half (cry!)

I was the same way...everyday lathering myself with cocoa butter body butter and it was working great....until about week 28-29-they started out as little dots and then they grew :cray: I know have them all under my belly, small ones on my sides and just recently they have decided to try and creep up along the belly button!

I am still lathering in lotion, in hopes that they do not get really bad. DH was surprised that they are as light as they are, and he did tell me that he was expecting me to get them, with having twins and all.

I can just hope that they do not explode more than they have...34 weeks now and the doctor thinks the babies are coming soon...i guess it is just a waiting game now :)

I got stretchmarks with my first, and they just stretched out even more with the twins! I gained a couple more as well!

I have more then I would like to admit to. 90 percent are from my DS but the twins have added a few new ones just to make sure everyone gets to leave their mark.

Me! My stomach looks like a patch of desert that 200 snakes have crawled over! No kidding, it's pretty bad. I didn't get them until about 28-29 weeks with the girls. Totally worth it, but not cute!

I only had a couple with my first pregnancy and not until the very end, but not this time around. My stomach is like a road map and all the roads are red and sunken in. Currently they're only from the belly button down, but I know that will change. From what I've heard stretch marks are a genetic trait and I've been looking at my mom's "twin skin" stomach my whole life so I pretty much knew what I was destined for... but like everyone else has said- it'll be so worth it! :)

I've got them too. But I don't care. The only person looking at my belly is my husband.

I was hoping I wouldn't get them since my Mom had 6 kids and didn't get any. And neither did 2 of my sisters.

Oh my- I have a ton- I tried to prevent them with my son- the whole cocoa butter thing didn't work. They seriously went up and down first, then started side to side! But other than my old ones from my son- so far no new ones, but I am sure there will be!!!!

Oh, my, I have so many, but like the smile lines forming around my eyes, I have earned them and am quite proud! I call them my "blue ribbons!" Now, the Twin Skin...I would love to have that snipped right off! Not so cute!

I got a ton on my lower tummy with my DD, now they are about 4 inches above my belly button and going up every day. They are travelling around my sides and yesterday I found some on my back :(
I am planning on having a tummy tuck later but I will definately still have lots of stretchmarks!!

i had stretchmarks on my belly even before pregnancy, from years of being very overweight as a teenager. i lost about 100 lbs, but the stretchmarks stayed (only faded in color). with this preganancy, i did develop a few more red ones around my bellybutton, and the old ones have stretched out again, but had not darkened at all. it doesn't really bother me, since there was never a time where i actually liked my stomach, nor has it ever really seen the light of day. but i do plan to one day get a tummy tuck and have a tight tummy for once on my life...... :D

That happened to me too! Especially when I got this rash it seemed to make the stretch marks grow faster! The very first place I got them was around my nipples in the way beginning because I went up a 1/2 cup size and that was it.

My friend said she had them just like I did and you can't even see hers now so I am not totally discouraged.

I just had my son 14 months ago - and am STILL covered in stretch marks. They are REALLY bad. Most of my belly, hips and butt are covered in them. Eeewie. Gotta love the magic of photoshop! :)

I did great up until about week 28 and then I got 1 then 2 then 3 then 8 then 15 and so on. I was pretty bummed but the truth is, they have pretty much all turned white now so it's not so bad.

Dang it anyways. Today I decided to look really close to see if I had a stretch mark. I did some major growing this last week and sure enough I found one tiny little red line about the size of a keyboard key. I sat and cried. Pregnancy hormones anyways. I made it my first pregnancy with none and was hoping this time too. But I think only I can see it, and that's looking for it. But still I cried some real alligator tears and showed the daddy. He was like what???? He apparently couldn't see it, and I guess after already having three babies wasn't too worried about a little red line. I cried harder then. LOL...i wanted some sympathy for my pathetic little stretch mark.

I started getting stretch marks around 24 weeks. They were really bad, but I could not see most of them since they were in the shade of my enormous belly (below the belly button). Well, once I delivered and things finally settled in their place, I had them ALL OVER my entire belly. You know when you find an old deflated balloon, how the latex is all wrinkled and mottled looking? Yep, that is my gut. Oh well, its just a reminder of what it took to bring TWO babies into the world at the same time.

And FWIW, my mom bought me the super ultra expensive Strivectin for the stretch marks. Well, she should have just put the money towards diapers, since it was a waste!
