I'm just full of questions this morning!

I'm nearly 8 weeks pp and I'm still bleeding. Is this normal? At my 6 week check-up, my OB said that it's normal for twin moms to bleed longer and she expected it to taper off but it seems constant and steady still, two weeks later.

    When did your bleeding stop?

With all of my babies, I stopped minutes before my 6 week appointment. However, with the twins, my periods are REALLY heavy for the two middle days. This did not happen with the others. I'm guessing it depends on how much the hormone changes messed up your cycle. If the doc said it was OK, then I wouldn't worry. If you're still freaked, call 'em!

I bled for 3 months! I even went in for an evaluation for a D&C and the day I went in to the Dr's office, I quit bleeding, go figure!

I bleed 8-10 weeks with all my kids. With my first I stopped then started again at 7 weeks. They did an office procedure to check on it and foudn some plenctal tissue and I stopped after that visit. Give yourself a little longer but if you have concerns then call the dr.

I bled for 6 weeks with the twins. I was happy when it did finally stop because it was heavy except for maybe the last few days.

I'm sorry you still are I hope it stops soon for you. [IMG]

I thought my bleeding would never end!!! It lasted 2 months and then it started tapering off, stoping for a day or two and starting again . When I went to dr. for the 6 week visit she did an ultrasound checked that the uterus had contracted and said not to worry about bleeding.

Only about 4 weeks for me. I guess I'm not the norm...and thankful for that!

It was about 10 weeks for me, 10 unpleasant weeks! It did lighten up a lot, but then would come back.

With the twins it was 10-12 weeks and with my singleton it was 8.

I always think I´m through with it, and it´s only little, but in stressfull situations, especially when I´m physically exhausted, it starts spoiling my underwear.

6 weeks with my singletons, about 9-10 with the twins. I've heard you bleed longer because your uterus is more stretched out during a twin pregnancy so it takes longer to shrink back down.

I bleed for about 4 weeks and my doctor told me that was about 2 weeks longer than I should have. But right after I called her it stopped within a couple days.

OH MAN!! I am glad you posted this!! I am in the same boat!! my girls
were born 01-03-07 and I am still bleeding!! it has started tapering off and the other day I didn't bleed at all so I thought GREAT! I'm done so the next day I didn't wear anything but a panty liner - BIG MISTAKE!!! I bled like a stuck pig AGAIN!! my OB said that it was normal for a twin preg. and also because I breastfeed to expect to bleed longer! but I was beginning to think that I was a freak of nature and going to bleed FOREVER!!

(and I had a c-section so I figured that since nobody came out of "down there" that I wouldn't bleed for at least any longer than I did with my singleton vaginal deliveries but boy was I wrong - we are at twice as long now and still going!! [IMG]!)

I bled heavy for 6 weeks and then for another two it was lighter and not so constant. I think even after that I had occasional bleeding. My OB said it was normal with women who had twins.

I bled for 3 months, although I think the last week of that was my first period since birth. I thought it would go on forever, and it was really heavy at times. Now my periods are longer with more cramping.
