for girls that are starting preschool and have to wipe themselves

I have been thinking about my girls starting preschool in the fall and having to wipe themselves there and it concerns me just a tad. They both wipe but one doesn't do a great job at it and we've noticed that if she wipes more than we do, we end up with issues. Although she might only go to the bathroom once in the 2.5 hours she is at preschool in the fall, I figured that once she came home we would make sure to wipe her the next time she went to get good and clean.

Then my neighbor shared with me a piece of advice she received from her dd's pedi because she had similar concerns. The pedi told her to put a thin layer of vaseline on her before she left for school because it would create a barrier. I loved the idea, will definitely do it, and just had to share!

Sounds like a great idea! I've just made sure this year that L&L both use the bathroom right before they go to school and I think they rarely have to go while they are there.

 

That's what I'm thinking too Tina. I know Emma will most likely hold it for sure. Lauren will go because it's a new potty and it will be fun.

Thank you for sharing this because I have been wondering how they were going to do with this. I've been talking to them about it, but I just worried that they may not do a good enough job and then be miserable for the rest of the day.
