I'd love to have hand/foot impressions made of my boys and I'm curious as to what people have used. Did you do it yourself or did you buy a kit? Also, do you know of a good online company to buy these from? I'd love to have a ceramic one to hand on the wall but I'm unsure of where to get this.

For Father's day we did hand impressions. We got kits from the craft store. We did their foot prints in non-toxic paint on paper with the poem Walk a Little Slower Daddy and framed them. Will say the paint was much easier than the impressions. But the boys were much younger and at that point getting their hands flat was not easy. But it was worth the hassle LOL Most craft stores and probably even Walmart have the kits.

We have a craft kit at home to do either a foot/hand impression. We have not tried it yet. I wanted to wait until they were older.

I haven't done one, but I've seen them hanging in other people's homes. They are a beautiful keepsake. I would agree with pp on checking craft stores.

We did foot impressions of my girls last summer. We just went to the local craft store and bought a kit. At first we tried to do their hands but the girls clenched the concrete, lol. Try explaining "keep your hands flat" to two 9 month olds. They came out really cute!

I bought kits from Casting Keepsakes. I bought both ornament and casting kits. I did a casting of both their hand and foot. They came out really cute, although not perfect. I am really glad I did it.

Someone bought me one for my first son.. it never got used ( I know Im terrible). Ive seen the little ones at Kmart or Walmart.. Its a little silver heart shaped tin and it has the stuff inside to mix the concrete and you would put their hand/foot in it. You would only be able to fit one child in each one.
Thats one of the upsides of having them in daycare/preschool. They usually have really neat ideas to have the kids make keepsakes. I have tiles with all of the kids hand prints and names w/ the year on it. I plan on using them when I buy a house, or I will make something with all of them.
