My twinkies are getting to the point where they don't want baby food, they just want table food. Is it okay to give them bread and pasta and things that have eggs listed on the ingredients? I bought some Gerber Graduates pastas and they contain eggs too. :unknw:

Yes, egg cooked with other ingredients is fine. The amount in bread and pasta is negligible.

how long are you supposed to wait before introducing eggs? Mine eat scrambled egg yolks now and love them... I think it's just the whites you have to look out for now, right?

Our Ped said food with egg whites in it is ok when I asked at our 9 mo appt. I think he mentioned something about it being ok b/c they were older. Egg yolks are fine, so whoever asked about scrambled egg yolks is fine. My guys have been fine with egg white products (and all other foods), so I'm not too worried.

My boys are allergic to eggs, milk, cheese etc.. and I am able to give them things with eggs cooked in them. Some things give them a couple little hives like pancackes or certain waffles but pasta and bread seem to be fine.

yes, if the egg is cooked in the product, the it is ok (but make sure to be on the lookout for allergies just in case!) also at your 9m appt your ped will probably say egg yolks r ok --like scrambled.. we went in around 10m and they had been eating pretty much everything at that point (including yolks) so he said that whites were fine too.

My pedi said to wait until after a year to give them egg whites. However, I think I first gave my girls scrambled eggs a little bit before a year without any problems. These recommendations might be different if you have a family history of food allergies, so check with your pedi to make sure.

Our twinkies are the same age. Mine don't really care for baby food. They've been on table foods for a couple weeks now. And they LOVE it. All finger foods for them. Their favorite is spaghetti, i think they just like making the mess.Lol
