I am hungry all the time and really trying hard to make every bite I take count. I am running short on ideas though and often something sounds wonderful one time.. and then it doesn't sound good for a while. I know I am supposed to eat more protein and I have problems with it as I am not much of a meat eater at all and don't drink milk (though I am drinking it in milk shakes and smoothies). I need some good breakfast, lunch and snack ideas. What are you eating?

I ate a lot of watermelon and grapes when I was pregnant. The watermelon also helped stave off any nausea I was feeling.

Breakfast ideas: yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, bagel w/ cream cheese
Lunch: grilled cheese, salad, cottage cheese w/fruit, cheese quesadilla,
Dinner: this one's hard for me as I do eat meat. chicken, ground turkey, vegetarian lasagna, ground beef,

    HTH...

In the beginning, it was hard for me to eat meals. Instead, I just grazed all day long. Some staples for me:

    milk, and more milk
    graham crackers
    peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
    yogurt
    cottage cheese
    string cheese
    nuts
    dried fruit
    carrot sticks
fresh fruit (could not stand veggies, except carrots)
    oatmeal

I've been eating a lot of eggs, they really seem to help with energy in the morning (whites high in prot. yolks high in iron),peanut butter on banana, avocados (tons of healthy fat and lots of nutrients!!!!!!)- I put them on sandwiches, in salads, make guac., nuts and dried fruits, Kashi granola bars, steamed edemame (soybeans) tons of protein, cheese sticks, tons of fresh fruit (I'm also having trouble with veggies)
Okay- I've made myself hungry, Hope this helps a little. Oh yeah I also eat ice cream, chips, any gummy candy and Captain Crunch cereal - with crunch berries of course.

-I have beeen eatting Very Veggie Juice (organic) made by After the Fall or Knudsen. You could do V8 also. This helps with the veggie servings.

-Also, I have been making smoothies every morning. I buy organic frozen strawberrries, blueberries, and raspberries. The frozen berries are key because they are always available and easy. Then I add yogurt, wheat germ, juice and sometimes milk. I make these most mornings for myself and my husband.

-When I make eggs in the morning I make scrambled eggs with vegetables in them. First I saute the mushrooms, brocolli, tomatoes, peppers or whatever I have on hand. Then add the scrambled eggs. At the end I mix in a little shredded cheese.

most mornings now i have 2 eggs with cheese and toast! i also have oatmeal or pancakes/waffles-i crave the protien now but before 14 wks it was lots of breads.
snacks, apples, yougurt, but lately its left over dinner
Lunch- left overs or soup,sandwiches-tuna yummy!-Peanut butter is a good snack/lunch too! I buy the chunky cambell soups with beef or chicken-great for a snack or meal-
grab lots of those mini meals ( frozen dinners-they have great chicken/rice combo-skimpy lunch but great for a protien boost snack!
    Cheese/crackers
    Yogurt drinks
    mix nuts and dried fruit
    oatmeal cookies/cereal bars

For me i found if i wanted a "dinner" food for breakfeast then i ate it vice versa-breakfeast for dinner-its all food and if u are craving it they babies are really wanting it

I can't stand milk, so I eat cheese and yogurt. I can't have much yogurt anymore because of gestional diabeties but will have some here and there. For breakfast I eat eggs and bacon, every single day...lol I can't have carbs with breakfast and need lots of protein...get that from both.

I love apples, anytime I have one, I cut it up and eat it with peanut butter to give me the protein I need.

Beef jerky is something I love to snack on.

For lunch a few times I week I have tuna(chunk light white), good protein, with cheese on it for the dairy part.

Edemame's are a great source of protein! They can be purchased fresh, frozen, in the shell or not. You can put them on a salad or serve them hot.

I also don't like milk much, but did drink protien shakes. I got Whole Foods brand Whey Protein in Chocolate and thought it was pretty good.

I also would recommend more snack type meals rather than 3 big meals. The bigger your belly gets the more full you are going to feel and the less you are going to want to eat so if you spread it out over the course of the day you will be better off. Try adding Cheese, yogurt, ice cream, tofu, tempeh, to your diet. Nuts and trail mixes were a favorite for me as well.
