I am flying to AZ for 6 week to visit family. My EZ-2-Nurse pillow is an absolute necessity, but it is so huge! I do not have a suitcase big enough, in fact I don't even know that I've ever even seen a suitcase big enough for it :p!

I don't know if I can count it as a carry on, but even if I can, I'm not sure I can manage that, plus the two car seats, and diaper bag. I am flying alone  .

Anyone have any ideas how to transport the pillow?

If you can live without it for a day, how about shipping it by ups in advance?

Otherwise, you may have to buy a really big suitcase and then hope to pack a lot of things around it so you're not wasting space.

    Have a great trip!

There is an inflatable version of the EZ2 pillow:
    inflatable pillow

Maybe it would be worth the investment (would be less cost than buying a giant suitcase).

    Here are a few ways:
    -mail it there
-use the "space bag" things that shrink your clothes for packing
-call and see if there is a twins club there and if they know of a place to borrow one

FWIW- we go to FL alot and I ended up buying a used one there, it cost $20, but well worth it!!!!

Since the girls were born we've flown with our EZ2Nurse 4 times to/fro england. Each time we've just got a v v big cardboard box (usually from one of the storage companies) and put the car seats in as well as the EZ2Nurse. IE we did the final pack up at the airport and took some strong tape with us.

It worked very well and protected the car seats from damage etc. BUT all these times I flew with DH so I'm not sure if it would be as easy on your own. Recently I flew on my own with them with a big bag and a travel cot and figured that so long as whatever I took fitted on one trolley and left my other hand free for a pram or to hold hands it would be ok.

Feel free to PM me about any questions to do with flying ...

I have a 1980's suitcase (back when they were proportioned differently... and it's turquoise & hot pink :p ) that is EXACTLY the right size. I packed the EZ and then put the monitor and a few other things that would benefit from all of that padding in there with it. That suitcase has had a "we checked your bag" tag in it EVERY SINGLE TIME we've flown (because it's too light, I'm sure) and I wonder sometimes what they think when they open it. If you lived closer, I'd loan it to you.

Do you know anyone with older luggage?

ETA: the suitcase is actually the middle size in the set... it doesn't have to be that big, just more of an envelope shape

they make an inflatable one, but I've never heard any feedback about it. I considered buying one but just never got around to it. And I've managed on our trips without it by just pilling pillows up around me.

Thanks guys, great suggestions! Thankfully, after digging through our storage shed, I found a really big suitcase that it barely squeezes into :a_smil09: . Such a relief because I don't think I could've lived without it for 6 weeks!
