Well, the twins had Croup with really high fevers about a week after Emelia came home. Well, apparently they also had the flu because Emelia got it! We rushed to the ER on Thursday AM because she had a 103 fever. After blood tests, IVs, Urine cultures, a chest x-ray, a flu swab, an RSV swab and worst of all a Spinal Tap, it turned out that she had the flu! So, she was admitted to be monitored and put on preventative, wide-spectrum antibiotics. Luckily, she is fine and we were released this morning to continue monitoring at home. What a long 48 hours alone in a room on the peds floor. I couldn't even leave for food. The nurses were great and took care of me and her! Keep your little ones safe this cold and flu season. We all had the flu shot including all of the grandparents and we still got it! Tracy
