N just started flipping over forcefully onto his stomach when he's on the changing table. Even with the "seatbelt" to the changing pad.
Other than re-flipping him or getting a helper to hold him down...is it time to change him on the floor instead? He's on the verge of crawling.

I never used a changing table. I had one for my oldest and I honestly never changed her on it, even once. I always changed them on the bed or the floor.

i would definitely start changing him on the floor until he's got this new skill mastered and doesn't feel so compelled to try it out so forcefully.

Yep. Once mine started fighting me, I moved the pad to the floor. We have one upstairs and one downstairs. It's still a battle (aka wrestling match) but it's safer for us all (if you don't mind a foot in the gut every once in a while).

I never had a changing table. When they were really small I changed them on the couch or bed, and after that it was the floor. Sounds like it's time!

We used to changing pad first on the coffee table, then on the floor....now we even use the pad, just the floor. They like to see what torture the other is going through!! And we have a two-story, so we have all the diaper stuff down stairs.

    Hope things settle down

count me as one of the never had a changing table folks. In fact, my DH had never heard of such a thing, and he thought it was gross to change the baby on a "table.' He said that's what the floor is for.

I'd start changing him on the floor, and I bet for the first couple weeks you're gonna be sore. Getting up and down off the floor is a good workout.

We have our changing pad sitting on the floor in the twins' room. We have to sit when we change diapers, but if they roll they are near the ground. Most of the time, however, we change the babies' diapers on a blanket on the floor. We find that to be easier b/c we can be with both girls at the same time.
