This has been our schedule for awhile:

    7;30am bottle followed by cereal
    11:45am bottle
    3:30pm bottle followed by cereal
7:30pm bath, bottle followed by bedtime
    11:30pm dreamfeed bottle.

Yesterday and today, the 11:45am bottle has been a battle of wills, yesterday
the girls ate 1 oz and today they are just refusing this bottle. However previously
they have drunk at least 3~4 ozs that time. Are they telling us to drop the bottle?
Should we reduce the amount of cereal at the 7:30am bottle?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hmmmm, I wouldn't drop that bottle. How much cereal are they eating? If anything I would want to drop that late night bottle. Have you tried not giving them that one...maybe they will be hungrier during the day??

I agree with Becky. I would drop the nightfeed bottle to see how it goes. They may surprise you and sleep through the night without a feed! :D But that should make them hungrier the next day... Good Luck!

I'm pretty much going through this, but it's our 5:30 feeding. My twins are 5 months old and it's a battle to the point that I've poured myself a nice cocktail at that time, just to deal with the stress.

I posted yesterday about it, and I decided that this weekend I will extend the hours between feedings, from 4 to 4.5 or 5 hours, dropping one bottle (going from 4 to 5).

If I were you, I'd def. drop that dream feed too...try that first.

wow! I never thought of dropping the dreamfeed! That's an interesting idea! I will give it a try tonight as they are not eating well!

Hmm... if you are 'dreamfeeding' I would try dropping that one, and upping the amount they get at the bedtime bottle.

I'm just a bit worried, I was adding up how much they eat in one day and it's currently the same amount as when they were three months old! one to two bottles a day is EBM but the rest is formula.

HOW MUCH does a five month old normally eat?
