This discussion board is great and I am very happy I found it. But I wonder if there is a book or anything else about twins. How to raise twins, how to set a schedule, any tricks to make mom's life easier( to feed, to play, to put asleep, to go out alone with kids, etc). I know everybody has his own individual way, but may be there is something available. Maybe a twin mom wrote about her day to day experience. Have you heard about anything?

I read Twinspiration and it had a lot of great advice. It was written by a twin mom.

I've read a few and the one I read and still refer to today is Health sleep habits happy child. This is great for setting schedules and understanding when and why it's important. I hear he just released a twin version in June but it's just a paired down version from the original. I also read the Baby Whisperer. She has a less scheduled approach but I got a few good tips from that one too. I'm not sure you'll find an all in one book that covers everything and probably a harder time finding one about twins but the same concepts still apply and the board is super helpful for those in between/everyday questions!

I swear by the Baby Whisperer. You use the same concepts for the twins. As far as the 'twin' specific stuff, you just have to figure that out, i.e. sleeping arrangements, if you can
do things at the same time, that's something the babies will determine for you really. However, I was very persistent with establishing a routine from about 2-3 months on and now they are 8 months corrected and we do everything at the same time, it's very nice.

I read Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child - the original and also the Multiples version that just came in June. I really enjoyed Twinspiration and Juggling Twins, both accounts of daily challenges and how to survive with twins doing common tasks. But much of both books is also devoted to pregnancy so you might not read that part. I also read tidbits of No Cry Sleep Solution which was a pleasant read. At this point I just read sections as I have time.

I would check betterworldbooks.com to see if you can find any of these used. They have free shipping - although it is like 14 days. They sell used books from libraries, stories, etc so they might not be the latest version all the time but are cheap. I have read other twin books but found them to be not near as good. Good luck.

If you're looking for a very specific schedule then 'A Contented House with Twins' by Gina Ford is good. It's very regimented though and gives you a minute by minute kind of schedule. I think it's a UK book but you could easily get it through Amazon.
I had a good read through it and the advice is really really good, but I found that my twins have naturally fallen into a great schedule of their own and they've been sleeping through the night since 3 months :woah: ... so we haven't really needed it - but it is DEFINITELY worth a read.
