First Word

Well, this has just been a weekend of firsts for Evan. He has been using one arm to support himself in a sitting position for a few weeks now and yesterday he just spontaneously started sitting up unassisted! Yeah! :yahoo: Then today I was playing with them on the floor and got up to go out of the room for a second when he all of a sudden says "Mama!" I immediately stopped and thought that I must be hearing things. So, I walk back into the room and get down on the floor in front of him and he says it again! :wub: I called my husband and he said it again! Now, he seems to be on strike and won't say it anymore.

I am so unbelievably excited I just had to share the news! Evan's first word was[SIZE=10pt] MAMA!!! [/SIZE] :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

How exciting!!! :banana: Way to go Evan! :a_smil09: Both my boys first word was "Dada". I would look at them and say Mama and they would sweetly look in my eyes and say "Dada", Ughhh.

 

All my kids said Mama first. :wub: 1st words, they are music to your ears! I love it when they begin talking!

 

How cute! It is exciting, although mine are sayin dada first but that is ok with me!

YAY!!!! way to go Evan!!! doesn't that just melt your heart!!! all of my boys said dada first so I am really
hoping that one of these girls will say mama!! I sound like polly parrot all day saying mamamamamama to them!!!!
