First trip without stroller

Wow that wasn't fun. I took the kids to the Aquarium today. My older three walked no problem. The twins were on those cute little back pack harnesses. I had the straps around my wrist and held their hands so they could learn to walk with me. Not the worst but they wanted to be like the big kids and just walk. If I let them walk on their own they would be bouncing off the harnesses. Ugh. So we're going to the zoo Thursday and I'm starting off with the stroller but mid way will let them walk again. Hopefully it gets easier! I'm just exhausted now!

 

:hug: We didn't start going completely stroller free until closer to age 3. I'd bring the stroller and start them in it, but this way if they got too wild, or kept pulling on the harness, or just got tired, the stroller was there as an option. Now, we went to the zoo this spring when they turned 3 and took the stroller but it really didn't get used at all. I'll probably skip it next time we go.

 

I took my stroller for longer than I needed to, just because I liked it for hanging my purse/diaper bag on, carrying kids jackets when they didn't want to wear them, etc. But like Danielle said, it's so nice to have as a backup for when they're just done with walking... or you're done with letting them.

 

I love our stroller too! Believe me it's a first option over walking. The aquarium has a no stroller policy in the summer. Dh is going to be with me on Thursday at the zoo and that's why they'll get the option again. Otherwise it's only the stroller! Lol
