I was wondering when other babies got their first tooth? How did you know they were getting a tooth? What did they act like?

I was just wondering since this is something that will be happening in the future for my kiddos.

Mattea just started teething but Autumn started around 4 1/2 months and the tooth broke skin around 6 1/2 months. All I can say is that these last few weeks of teething have been the hardest since they were born, they cry constantly and pull at their ears and are restless, it stinks to see them in pain. I can tell you that mesh teethers have saved my life!! I recommend you get some so you can stuff frozen bananas or peaches or whatever you have in them, it really helps!

My girls started drooling like water faucets around 3 months. At just over five months one of my girls was super cranky for a day or two, which is so unlike her. She doesn't take a binkie, so I stuck my finger in her mouth for her to suck on (ANYTHING to make her happy!) and I could feel the tiny nub. She had one night where she was restless, so I gave her Tylenol. Once it popped, tooth #2 came in 2 days later and she was back to her old self. None for my other dd yet.

My twins started drooling around three months. Ds cut his first tooth at around four months and Dd cut her first tooth around 4 1/2 months. Our pedi said most babies will start cutting teeth around six months. However, ever baby is different both my babies cut their teeth early. My sister's baby didn't start cutting teeth until he was nine months old.

I feel like my kids have been teething for months... and NONE yet! Teething tablets seem to work okay. Washcloth rinsed out and put in fridge for a bit helps too.

Norah started teething at two months. About 4 months on our way back from NYC she screamed the whole time and when we got home there was a tooth!

Mine starting having "teething behavior" (mostly chewing like crazy on anything they could reach) around 4 months, but didn't pop the first tooth till 7 months. There was a noticeable increase in fussiness for a day or two before the tooth actually popped. That has been the pattern ever since -- the chewing was almost constant until about 13 months, but just before the tooth actually came out, they would drool a LOT more and get fussy.

My guys both popped their first tooth about a month ago, then the teeth went back down. [IMG] Right now they both have a sharp sliver of tooth, but it won't come out of their gums any further. They got extremely fussy just before it broke through their gums.

My first DSs teethed FOREVER, I never though they'd get teeth. At about 4 months they started with the drooling and chewing on everything, going through periods of being a little fussier, fevers with no other symptoms - but no teeth.

They finally got their first tooth at 14 months, within 3 days of each other! After that it was one after another for a few weeks. I guess they had to catch up [IMG]

Zack still hasn't got a tooth or any sign of a tooth. Bree has had 2 teeth since the end of the 5th month but she was a very fussy high need baby from month 3 to 5. Now we know why.

Well we are still working on the tooth thing. Kevin has been drooling and everything else that goes with teething since he has been 2 months old, and finally he has a tooth! Only took him 6.5 months! Patrick started at 3 months and got his at 5.5 months. So it could be now, it could be later. I suggest stocking up on some Orajel and some Motrin! [IMG]
