Kristina is only 3! And she lost her first little tiny tooth today. When she was 18 months old she tried to shew on my rug and loosened it. It got tighter but never was the way it was supposed to be. Well about a month back..she was playing with her Daddy and nibbled on him(not even hard), and really loosened it.It was hanging by the thread all that time. Yuck. Dang thing would bend all the way over. Today we went to SIL for supper and Kristina yells to her aunt to come see what she had...a tiny cute little tooth in her hand. No blood at all.
She got $2 from her uncle on the spot for it...and now she cannot wait for the tooth fairy. BUT Lauren said since her teeth are nice and shiney maybe the tooth fairy will leave her a PRESENT as well.

My baby is too small to lose a tooth! [IMG]

Dawne - wow. That seems very early. I would call my dentist (I don't know if that's a rational response or not, but that would be my instinct kwim?) WOW!! Keep that little baby tooth. [IMG]

I didn't know they start loosing teeth that early. I would call the dentist. I read here that the first tooth should fall between the ages of 6-7. If nothing else, the dentist can see if there is any damage done to her gums.

Glad to hear she is taking it okay. I too would get her to the dentist, but since you have an appointment coming I wouldn't worry about it. He will probably just xray and see if the tooth is even close to coming through yet. If not you may have to think about getting a spacer tooth in there.

Actually, since it has been knocked around for a while, I wouldn't worry that much. Many kids loose a tooth early due to a trauma. If it was lost without the trauma, I would have been more concerned.

My mom has told me that I started losing my baby teeth at four years old. Earlier than the norm but I turned out ok. lol. When my girls turned four she told me to start checking ot their teeth in case they took after me. So far no loose teeth though.

Your case is different though. I agree, there already was damage to the tooth so I don't think that it's odd for the tooth to fall out so early.
