First time posting in FY

Hi everyone. I have been on the site for several months now. I was pretty active on the expecting forum. Now if I get on for a minute, it is usually to play in the arcade. (Sorry, Jenny, I just topped you at Queen's Jewels.)

Anyway, my name is Amorita, you can call me Amy. My DH and I just had our first children 3 wks ago. He has been in here looking for answers while I was taking a shower, or pumping, or BF...He is a big help when he is home and is really good at looking for ideas and answers.

Our daughter Yael was quiet in the womb...now she likes to scream. Her twin brother, Benjamin, has been seen to cover his ears during these sessions. I gotta laugh or I will cry. We have no family near us, the closest aunt is 2 hrs away and getting too old to drive. We have some friends around, but the closest is at least half an hour out and everyone works. So, I am one tired momma.

Okay, I have typed while grabbing some turkey and chips. Now I am done, they are still asleep, so I will go start a load of laundry. I SHOULD sleep, but we are all 4 out of clothes. LOL Ask me anything, I will try to answer you ASAP.

Sounds like you're doing great!!! LOL! Congrats & welcome! Life will return to some new kind of normal one day! I know how you feel about having no family, mine is over 4000 miles away. Get help if you can ... even if it's a high school student who can help out once in a while. It will get better, and it will be lots of (more) fun!! Enjoy!

:sign0016: to the First Year!! Well your bad news is that you have no family close by, the good thing is you have your TS family just a few keystrokes away should you ever need help!! May I ask how you pronounce your daughter's name?

Congrats on your babies. Think about tossing that load in and running for a few ZZZ's. You really do need to remember yourself any time you can. Things will be pretty tough for the next few months but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Mine are almost 1 and they are SSSOOOOO much fun now...I'd never have believed it 10 months ago in my sleep deprived fog. Be sure to come here often (I used to pop on while feeding at 2 a.m.- or just sitting with a baby who had days/nights mixed up) you always have a friend/family a few keystrokes away.

Michelle--- I saved the long one for last. Yael is 2 syllables, ya-el. The 'ya' is pronouned like yacht. The 'el' sounds like you are saying the name of the letter 'L'. No worries, this won't be the last time I explain, I'm sure.
