first table and chairs set

The inlaws are going to buy them their first table and chairs and told us to research and see what we liked. I am wondering if anyone here has any recommendations or any they think we should stay away from. Thanks in advance.

 

They have a lot of cute ones at Ikea. My BIL made a table and chair set for my DDs' first birthday gift, and it is super cute. I think the only thing I'd make sure of is that it is sturdy, cleans well, and doesn't have sharp edges. But all kids tables should be that way.

 

My sisters bought the boys this one and it is really nice. Of course Pottery Barn kids has them but they are so expensive!

I got a set at a baby shower (really cute since the hostess used it to set the party favors on as guests left). Anyway, it's from BRU. Although it's cute as a button, I am disappointed that the chairs are too tall for my girls. Although they love to sit in them, there's no way they can get in them by themselves. So, the beg to sit in them but I have to put them in and remove them from the chairs. Maybe your kids wouldn't have the same problem since they are a little older, but that's my 2 cents!

 

My mom gave my kids the Carolina table and chairs from Pottery Barn Kids as a gift. It's super cute and very functional. It's a bit pricey, so if I were buying myself I wouldn't have gotten it, but we do love it.
