Jackson took his first steps yesterday! Just out of the blue, he let go of the chair he was holding on to and reached toward me. Since I was on the other side of the baby gate holding Jacob, I acknowledged him but didn't pick him up. So, he took three perfect little steps toward me!!!! Wow-- so amazing!

Today, he repeated this, walking back and forth between my DP and I several times... so, it's official. Jackson can walk!

Don't worry, Holly (fuchsiagroan)... Jacob's not going to be walking ANY time soon! He looks like a drunken sailor when he tries!

Thanks everyone... we did videotape it. About ten sets of 3 steps each! hehe He is quite the cautious little guy, so once he makes it 3 steps, he lunges toward the receiving parent and plops on their lap. Can't wait for him to really be cruising around! I know, I know... everyone says I will regret saying that, but honestly, I am just excited by the development. Plus, he is heavy and loves to be carried everywhere. If he even walks for 10% of the time, my back will really appreciate it!!!

    Yeah Jackson! Great job!

My Jake has been walking for about 1.5 months now, and he STILL looks like a drunken sailor! And forget it, if he tries to run, then he really looks drunk, and usually ends up falling on his face!
