My girls don't wake up at the same time each morning. They get up as early as 5:30 or sleep as late as 7:30, so I wasn't sure what time to set the sun to come out. I decided to try 7:05 pm - 7:05 am. The moon part worked great. :good: Normally it's a big fight and whine fest at bed time. Last night I talked up the fact that when the moon came out that means it's time for everyone to go to sleep. They went in their room and saw the moon unlit several times and then when it finally lit up they were both so excited and got straight into bed and under their blankets. It was awesome.

But this morning I was in my bed when Amelia came in: "Sun's not working" she kept saying. Well it's b/c she got up at 6:30 and the sun wasn't coming up for another 35 minutes. Lily slept in til 7:15 so when she woke up the sun was up and I showed it to Amelia. But isn't the point supposed to be if they wake up and moon is still out they stay in bed til the sun comes up? Should I move the time of the sunrise up to 6:30 for a few days or what?

What about 6:45 instead? Maybe she just needs a couple days to adjust and realize the "sun" will come up and it IS working.

You probably should adjust to meet her time, then start moving it forward so at least she knows that it works :D I chuckled when I read that she said it didn't work!!

LOL! That is SO what Jake would do! I would set it earlier and let her get used to it. I'm thinking about getting one too. I haven't slept past 6am in way too long!

They're spending the night out tonight but next time they're here in the morning I will try to set it at 6:30 and see what she does.

 Totally lmao at the fact that the sun wasn't coming up for another 35 mins. I might turn it on once before you know she is gonna get up so she learns that it works like others suggested and then gradually moving it up by like 5 min increments.
