    First of all Congratulations!!
I would just feed them as much as they will take, try not to stress out about it too much. (I did, and it did not help at all) ;) I do find every 4 hours at that age a long stretch to go without food. Maybe try to feed every 3 hours.
    Good luck.

Congratulations!!! We just brought home our twins a week and a half ago - they were eating 2oz - I believe(40cc???) every 2 hours. Now, they are eating 3 oz every 2-3 hours. Good Luck!!! Vicki

First of all, Congrat's and Welcome Home. Secondly, I know this advice is hard, just try to go with the flow and what the wee ones want to eat give. They will eat when hungry and sleep when not.

Congratulations!!! Welcome to FY! I would *try* to get them on a 3 hour schedule if possible. It makes it much easier on you and them, if you know what is "next".

Congrats and Welcome! I think they all change a lot from their time in the NICU and when you actually get them home. Don't be surprised by the changes. Mine varied from 2-3 hours at that age. I didn't get them to 4 hours until they were 4 months old. Good luck with everything and post as often as you need to. We can all help you!

congrats and welcome home! my girls were in the NICU for three weeks nad they had them on a 4 hour schedule towards teh end - much to my dismay. I actually got them to shorten it (sometimes) by showing up for feedings (i am BFing), and by insisting that they give them 'snacks' between feedings if they were hungry.

Four hours is too long for their little stomachs. They do it in the hospital because they are trying to get their weight up (thus the 80 cc's) and because it's convenient for the nursing staff. When itold my pedi the schedule they were on she nearly had a fit. This small, I wouldexpect every 2-3 hours maximum; it is brutal, but it will stretch out over time. Good luck!

Welcome Home & Congrats!!!! This is a very challenging but rewarding time! You will sleep again I promise!

But anyway, my girls were only eating 1-2 oz every 2-3 hours for a while!! I do think trying to feed them every 3 hours would help. They are just now eating 4 -6 oz now. So be patient & let them guide you. If one waked to eat, I suggest waking the other. That will help them get on the same schedule.

I look forward to talking to you!
    Congrats!

    Congrats on them coming home!!

I would follow their direction. We let the tell us when to feed them for the first couple weeks. We then put them on a schedule. Now that schedule changes all the time, but it works out great!
