I've hired a 19 yr old college student to help me 2 afternoons/evenings per week when DH works late. She started today. Actually spent the whole day with her since I asked her to work a few extra hours (needed help attending twins group). Sam & Syd were cranky all day (long story). She was a really big help. I'm excited! I am hoping this works out and we can lead up to me leaving for a few hours when she's here. The girls seem to like her. She's young and not that experienced (I'll have to teach her alot), but sweet and very helpful.

That's great! Glad things seem to be off to a good start. About her youth/inexperience...maybe it will be a blessing in disguise. You can show her EXACTLY how you want things done. I was wondering how things were going for you in the nap department. I know it's been a rough month. Saw in your "10 mo sleep time" post that you're officially down to one nap. How's it going?
Yes, that's true. I can make her do things my way. *evil grin* ;-) Actually, I'm trying to teach her without being too bossy or controlling. They are doing mostly great on 1 nap. Typical day: Wake around 7:30. Wake up before 8am. 8:30 Breakfast: bottle & solids Possible short outing (like to the park) 11 Change into bedtime clothes, Big bottle, stories, down for nap Usually nap from about 11:30-2:30. Wake up and have bottle and/or solids depending upon a few factors (time, how much they drank earlier, if we have to rush somewhere, etc) Outing 6 Dinner, Baths, Big Bottle, books, bedtime In bed around 7, usually asleep by 7:30. (usually play/babble until fall asleep while I get chores and/or dinner). It's not always that smooth. But it's MUCH better than it was. Huge improvement. Today was tough, but we had several poopy problems that disturbed sleep. Plus a new person in the house which is an adjustment for them.
Looks like a great schedule. I have enjoyed following your posts b/c you are exactly 1 month older than us. Keeps me prepared for what they might throw at me next...and usually by the time it hits us, you've found something that works. Thanks for being our test pilot!
Glad she seems to be working out. I'm sure it is nice to have the extra hands. Also, glad to see your girls are doing pretty well with one nap. Sometimes I can't wait until mine go to one nap so we can get out more.
