It was great! We got there at about 8am. The directer gave me the much needed info. Then we went to the classroom. Immediately, the boys went to a table with Legos and blocks on it. They didn't even sit next to each other, but across from each other and enjoyed their own activities! Kiefer played briefly with a little boy who wanted to put a hat on his head. The teacher came over to play with them. Eventually we made our way out of the room. BOY was that hard! I didn't cry, but I felt myself wellin' up a bit. Jason's family was over and joined us in sending the boys to school on their first day, so afterwards, we went to breakfast. It was good! I woke up with a nasty migraine ($@#%) so the day did not start out good. So, after breakfast, we went to look for a cake for tomorrow's birthday party. We found one with Winnie the Pooh characters on it and two balloons: one with Winnie and friends and the other with Mickey Mouse and friends. By the time we got home, we only had about half an hour before it was time to go pick up the boys. Well, I took my Advil (4 to be exact) and waited.

We all decided to meet at the school at 12 so my IL's could have a tour. My AIL got lost so she didn't arrive until 12:15. It was ok, but I had to pick up the boys and not go on the tour with them. I've been on it plenty, so I focused on the boys. (Mommy boast warning) When I had first walked in, the first thing I heard from the receptionist was that when their teacher got her lunch break, she told her that the twin boys (mine) were so good! They played well with the other kids, they were happy and so easy going and a joy to have in the classroom. Wow! Not even prompted! It was nice that the receptionist relayed that to me. I was a proud mama! We got in to the classroom. Kiefer was sitting on his cot (they were getting ready for nap). He was a bit indifferent to my arrival. He was spaced, so I think he was just a bit overwhelmed and tired. Cameron saw me, He was lying down at the time, but head up. He saw me and immediately started to whine. The teacher suggested I send them in with their lovey and blanket cause when they started to set up the cots, they seemed confused when the other kids got their blankies and loveys. Even though I will be picking them up before nap for a little while longer, it would be nice they are able to do the same as the rest of the class. They get their cots during story time. I'm fine with that. I want to leave them there for naptime, but DH thinks it's too soon to do that. I think it was too disruptive for them to take them out of class and go home for a nap. They were so excited when we got home. They just wanted to tell us everything that happened to them. There was almost no way they were going to nap. Kiefer eventually conked out. Cameron babbled the entire time along with nearly breaking his shades (GRRRR). Still, I think it would be better to pick them up after their nap. We'll see how it goes next week.

It was a wonderful time for them. Unfortunately, my migraine worsened towards the end of the day. My AIL decided to make them dinner and she and my SIL fed them while I laid down for a bit and UIL watched and played with the boys. That was so nice of them! It really helped. Thought I'm still quite wasted from the migraine, it doesn't hurt as much thanks to my little rest. I was able to put the boys to bed. DH has a very bad bad that makes it nearly impossible for him to put the boys to bed these past few nights, but he managed to get a boy to bed. Now they are sleeping soundly!!! I'm going to rest my head while DH rests his back. We are quite the couple today!!!
