Today was their first day of preschool and it went pretty well. They didn't cry when we left, hardly seemed to notice. The teacher said Ainsley jumped right in and participated in activities, but Bea needed some coaxing and was shy. That's what I was expecting. They were fine but quiet when we picked them up, probably thinking "what was all that about?". I wish they could really tell me what they did at school.

Here's some pictures we took before leaving and when we dropped them off. Pictures

That's so exciting. I'm glad it went well. The pics are cute...but I have to say my favorite is the close up of Bea in her car seat...I just can't resist those beautiful eyes!

How cute. I'm glad it went so great. Ours start tomorrow, but we go with them the first two days. I hope our situation turns out like yours did.

I'm afraid I'm going to be a blubbering idiot when I leave my girls at school for their first day Monday.

Yes, it's a two year old program at a local preschool. It's a small class, only 12 children, and thankfully they don't need to be potty trained. It's two hours a day, twice a week. It was a nice little break yesterday. :)

Surprisingly, no, I didn't cry! I tried to keep myself busy during the two hours and did a ton of cleaning, OK and wasted some time on the computer. They hardly noticed when we left. I think tomorrow might be a little harder at drop off time because now they will know that we're leaving.

Kelly! First of all, the girls are gorgeous as usual - I also love that one of Bea with her baby blues :). Secondly, I am SO RELIEVED to hear it went well - as you know, I'm a nervous wreck about ours starting in two weeks. Thirdly, how did today go?

so is yours 9-12 also? then you came home, did lunch and then nap? and they were fine with the routine? just trying to plan ahead :).

It's 9-11, but we usually do lunch at 11:30, so that fits well. We came home, did lunch, a little play time, then nap. Naps have been hit and miss anyway, so I can't say if preschool is interfering. Tuesday they did not nap, today they might be asleep, I haven't heard anything in a few minutes.

Today Ainsley got fussy after picking them up, I'm not really sure why, but she was fine once we got home. I asked the teacher today how they are doing and she said good, but they are really quiet, but participating and following directions. They make little crafts every day (just a cardboard shape with things glued on it) and they have both brought their crafts home. I wish they had a webcam so I could see what they are doing! I'm just dying to know every little detail of what they do.
